Vinpower Digital VDX-1 Reviews
Very Poor Quality, Shoddy and Overpriced.
I bought 2 of these machines and had them shipped to the U.K. recently to replace my Microboards QDL machines. One of them works ok, but the other is just terrible, I'm quite sure this has not been inspected or tested before leaving the factory as the problems with it were apparent right from switching it on for the first time. These are claimed to offer hands free duplication, a claim I refute strongly. I have not been able to do a run of discs on either machine yet without having to intervene several times due to jamming discs, a jamming hopper and discs not landing in the burner properly. Quite often the robot arm that moves the discs from burner to output bin fails to work giving an R30 fault. I have been duplicating since 2003 and I've used a wide variety of machinery in the past, though nothing quite as frustrating as these machines. Another problem I've found with these machines is that they leave quite nasty scratches on the burned surface of the discs, not just a mark but 2 tram track type scratches on every disc that passes through them, sadly this has prompted complaints from my customers :/ I arranged to return this faulty machine but I found the return process with B&H far too complicated (3 emails and endless things that needed printing out) when the guy came to collect the machine, the paperwork was not in order, which didn't surprise me, feeling completely frustrated, I gave up in the end and decided to mothball the machine and buy another brand. I do not recommend this machine, it is cheap and nasty, shoddy and very overpriced for what it is. To buy 2 brand new machines and one of them be defective is in my opinion just ridiculous. I will not be considering Vinpower again in the future and I will not buy overseas again as things just become far too complicated.
