Get Wi-Fi where you need it most with the RE350 AC1200 Wi-Fi Range Extender from TP-Link. This range extender supports 802.11b/g/n/ac networks with dual-band connectivity so you'll be able to connect to both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band. The simple LED indicator will glow red or blue letting you know when it has a strong signal so you can find the best location to place it. Furthermore, the RE350 also doubles as an access point if you plug an Ethernet cable into it, turning your wired Internet connection into a dual-band wireless one. It also features drop-free and seamless connection technology so even if one of the main router's dual wireless bands fail, or in case the main router can only deliver single band Wi-Fi, it can still provide stable dual-band connections. TP-Link AC1200 reviews

    RE350 AC1200 Wi-Fi Range Extender is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good range extender. Performs adequately in most situations. This is a review of a free demo unit received from TP-LINK, for testing and feedback, as part of their review program. I have used this range extender for over a month, to boost Wi-Fi signals and speeds in distant rooms. All my devices (smart phones, tablets, laptops, desktop PCs and smart TVs) connect to the RE350 and work reliably. No disconnects have occurred. Speed tests for my ThinkPad laptop reached a phenomenal, 220 Mbps (802.11ac). A Roku smart TV, located far from the router, speed tested at 30 Mbps (802.11n). The RE350 is universally compatible. This range extender works with any router (all brands), since it uses the latest 802.11ac technology but is backward compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n. All my devices work too, everything; devices using the latest Next-Gen 802.11ac Wi-Fi as well as really old legacy 802.11a,b,g,n gear. The RE350 provides simultaneous dual band operation. It accommodates speeds of 300 Mbps @2.4GHz plus 867 Mbps @5GHz. This is where the AC1200 designation comes from (300+867=1,167). The RE350 setup is simple, hassle-free, and can be done in minutes. You use a browser on a PC, laptop, tablet, or phone. My browser choice was Mozilla Firefox. Alternately you could simply press the WPS button on your router and the large WPS front button on the RE350. Then settings can be further fine-tuned with a browser. For example, under Access Control, device MAC Addresses can be added to a Blacklist or Whitelist. The RE350 can also function as an Access Point, transforming your existing wired network into a wireless one. Plug a Network cable into the top RE350 Ethernet port. On the initial setup menu screen, click Mode in the upper right hand corner. Switch Mode allows you to choose either Access Point or Range Extender. Select Access Point and after a Quick Setup youll have a dual band wireless access point. The RE350 is sturdy and well made. Dimensions are 5x3x1.7 inches. Weight is approximately 12 ounces. Three LED indicator lights are on the front; 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and POWER. When active they glow blue. A large WPS button is also on the front. It is surrounded by a lighted circle Intelligent Signal Indicator. The color is Blue when there is a good connection. Red when the RE350 is located too far from the router. On the right side are a recessed Reset button, LED indicator On/Off, and Power ON/OFF. On the sides are 2 hinged external non-removable antennas, which adjust from 0 (horizontal) to 60 degrees. The small classy contemporary design will complement any room decor. A 1 Gigabit RJ-45 LAN port is on the top. TP-LINK calls this port an Entertainment Adapter. A wired device can connect to this Gigabit Ethernet port. I am using it with a desktop PC that has a wired Ethernet RJ-45 LAN connection but no Wi-Fi. Now that PC is back in use, connected to the Internet, for email and browsing. The RE350 plugs into a wall outlet, power strip, or extension cord. Plugged into a top wall outlet, the bottom outlet is free for other use. Only a 2-wire ungrounded receptacle is required, so the RE350 can be easily used in older homes. The maximum power consumption is 11 watts. The retail box includes the RE350, a Quick Installation Guide (one double-sided 10x13.25 inch page), a Technical Support contact information booklet, a GNU License Notice, additional setup and support info on a 5x3 inch card, and a 4 foot RJ-45 CAT5e Ethernet Cable. A complete 41 page User Guide, in PDF format, is available for download from TP-LINKs web site. A 43 page PDF Easy Wi-Fi Extension Flexible Placement AC1200 Wi-Fi Range Extender RE350 (#1910011680) is also downloadable from the Internet. TP-LINK offers a 2 year warranty plus 24x7 technical support (phone and email) for the life of the product. When I call during regular business hours, after a short wait, a knowledgeable and helpful US based technician in California picks up. Other times the phone gets answered by an English speaking support team in China.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big improvement in our signal I installed this two weeks ago to boost the wifi signal in our house. Our router is upstairs in one end of the house; downstairs at the other end devices would slow down noticeably when accessing internet content, particularly video or large files. I installed this booster and noticed an immediate improvement--devices are faster, and we can have multiple videos or movies streaming without the jam ups we had before. I installed this almost directly below the upstairs router. It has boosted the signal to the point where even at the far end of the house, there's no slowdown. Set up was easy using the included instructions--just connect it to the router (wirelessly), then move it to your location of choice and plug it into an electrical outlet. The device will indicate when it has a strong signal from the router, then will further boost it from there. I'm very pleased with the performance and the price point.
