Less than three inches long but capable of throwing a brilliant 900-lumen beam, the Olight S1R Baton Rechargeable Flashlight packs a lot of power into a small, everyday-carry package. Its charging cable attaches with a magnet, not a plug, and the tailcap is magnetized so you can hang the flashlight upside down to serve as a lamp.
Use the low-profile side activation switch to cycle through five output levels, from a power-stingy 0.5 lumens to the maximum setting of 900, and a strobe mode. The light comes on and shuts off gradually, rather than instantly, to protect your eyes from the bright light.
If the included 550mAh 5C RCR123A rechargeable battery is not available for use, the light can be powered by one CR123A non-rechargeable cell. The light has a lock-out mode to prevent accidental activation and a power indicator which will warn you when the battery is running low. Reverse polarity protection circuits prevent damage from an improperly installed battery.
The S1R is IPX8-rated to be submersible to 6.6'. Its flat tailcap with a strong magnet supports hands-free use and an aluminum pocket clip is provided.
