This item is too unstable; it's not safe at all. I'm going to return it and look for a safer smartphone adapter. Considering it's a Manfrotto product and the price, I expected a better quality product; in my opinion, it's junk. It's frustrating because B&H charged me $10.00 for the return, and $10.00 is a lot of money these days. I strongly recommend that other consumers read product reviews and be aware that B&H charges a return fee, the price of which depends on the weight of the product. I am very dissatisfied with B&H's return policy.
This grip is very solid. It has a nice design. The problem is that it does not expand much. I had to take the case off my iPhone 13 Pro Max for it to hold it, and at that it was a bit too tight. Other cheaper grips like this were much more accommodating. It will not fit an iPhone pro max with a case, or any other phone of the same or larger size.
