The lens would mount, but due to it being a DX lens you would get severe vignetting.

I don't know. I can vouch for the D5200 and D5300. The lens works on them, but not fully automatically.

question

I have a Nikon N70(or F70) it has an F type mount, but its a film camera with a digital body. Will this lens work for it?
Asked by: Jake F.
All Nikon cameras share the Nikon-F mount. This lens is designed for use with Nikon digital sensors and coatings so it is recommended for use with their current digital camera. However it will still mount onto film cameras as well. Whether all electronic functions will operate depends upon the exact camera and lens combination, depending on which one you have.

Does this lens create a circular fisheye image on a full-frame camera such as the Nikon D610?
Asked by: Dreux
Surpisingly, the lens produces an irregular rectangular vignette image on the full frame sensor in my Nikon D850. The crop leaves out a lot of pixels.
