Compact, yet fully featured, Lilliput's Q5 5.5" Full HD On-Camera Monitor is designed to take on almost any production. The 1920 x 1080 LCD screen packs 401 pixels-per-inch for seamless viewing of Full HD signals. HDMI and SDI inputs on the rear are compatible with DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, and professional camcorders. HDMI and SDI signals can even be cross converted to ensure compatibility with a wide range of workflows.

NP-F and LP-E6 battery plates are included, and other types of plates are separately available. NP-F and LP-E6 batteries are widely available and are used on many cameras and camcorders, so you should never be without power. When shooting outdoors, the included sun hood makes the screen easier to see by blocking any glare. Lastly, an included articulating shoe mount allows you to secure the Q5 to your camera via a standard accessory shoe and position it after-the-fact.

Full HD Display
The Full HD display on the Q5 enables a 1080p signal to be viewed natively. Monitoring for critical focus on HD productions is a straightforward process, with no "punching in" and losing your original framing. A 1000:1 contrast ratio, 8-bit color depth, and 450 cd/m² brightness offer a high-quality viewing experience.
Durable Construction
While the unit itself is manufactured from metal, a silicone rubber bumper is included. The bumper prevents scuffing and other damage that may occur from drops or bumps that are too often known during life on set. It even has a small built-in, unobtrusive sun hood which can be mounted directly on top of the bumper in especially bright conditions.
HDMI/SDI Cross Conversion
Take the Q5 on nearly any gig, ranging from low-budget to professional with the built-in HDMI/SDI cross conversion. HDMI signals can be converted to SDI and vice versa, ensuring that the Q5 is compatible with almost any digital video equipment, from consumer to broadcast-grade.
Monitoring Tools
Analyze the incoming video signal with built-in video monitoring tools to achieve correct exposure, focus, and color balance. Built-in functions include:

    Q5 5.5" Full HD On-Camera Monitor is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great with SDI I purchased this monitor after reviewing many others. I wanted something with a great picture but at a reasonable price for personal gear. I am not sure about the ghosting problems mentioned, this might be an issue with HDMI. I can speak to using with SDI. It has a clean 1080P image with great color. I shoot Red and Arri often for work and I have used many professional monitors. This monitor when using SDI has put out a great image thus far. You can also purchase a DTap to DC plug for powering the unit. It seems brighter and easier to view then some on board monitors I have used. Overall for the price I would say it is a good value monitor.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed The monitor has issues displaying 1080 signal properly. Gradients show severe banding which looks like a low bit depth issue, it is visible only when objects move across the frame (either panning / tilting or movement of the objects themselves). When that happens areas of gradients (usually out of focus areas) have a trailing ghosting, dark outlines / banding. For some reason the issue is gone when the camera sends 720 signal to it. I tested it with a Nikon D600 DSLR as well as with Sony FS7 camcorder and Canon C100. It makes focusing difficult. In addition, the supplied battery plates don't fit onto the monitor's back firmly, they lose connection very easily at a slightest bump. The exposure feature which is Lilliput's name for Zebra is useless, the levels displayed by zebra don't agree with monitor's own waveform values, don't agree with camera's zebras, and the error is inconsistent. The max programable value is 100 which depending on the signal sent by camera is in reality either 100 IRE, 109 IRE or in case of S-Log 3 signal 96 IRE - in other words 100 means max brightness of a given gamma, not an IRE value which is confusing. The fan is pretty loud. Other than that, the built quality is not that bad. Images look very crisp and monitor allows quite good calibration. There were no issues with connectivity other than the issue described above.
