Are there screw holes on the back of this plate to mount it on a handheld directors monitor cage?

Yes, the SHAPE Gold Mount Plate with D-Tap does come with mounting screws as well as an aluminum back plate.

What is the Connector port on the underside? ...

What is the Connector port on the underside? Looks like a big JST style connector. There is no documentation included. I cant really google it.
