iOptron recommends this Counterweight Kit when using heavier DSLR rigs on their SkyTracker Pro camera mount. Use of this kit if the camera and lens together weigh between 2.6-pounds and the mount's max payload capacity of 6.6-pounds, or if the lens is long. The kit includes the mounting plate and hardware, plus a counterweight shaft and a 3-pound (1.35kg) weight. While built for the Pro version, this counterweight kit will also fit the original SkyTracker mount.

Is this compatible with the Ioptron Skyguider Pro? I'd like the option of adding the shaft and/or counterweight onto the SGP that I currently have.

I own this conterweight kit. The actual 3 pound weight is too heavy for my setup. Is there any other lighter weight I can use with my kit?
One can use the iOptron 2.2 lb. Counterweight for SmartEQ Mounts,(available from "High Point Scientific"), it is the lightest counterweight iOptron offers at this point.

Does using this counterweight lower the 6.6-pound payload limit of the SkyTracker Pro?
I concur with Joe's response; I just spoke to Yuen in tech support at iOptron (Phone : 781-569-0200), and he assured me that the 3kg payload is independant of the 1.35kg counter weight. So do not subtract weight of the CW set from the payload capacity.The total weight of the camera, lens, ball-mount/head, and CW set should not exceed 4.35kg (3kg payload capacity + 1.35kg CW set).

Will this counterweight kit work with a vixen polarie?
Maybe. Tricky. When used with the iOptron, the counterweight kit requires that one remove the circular turntable to screw the dovetail plate onto the tracker. The Polarie plate appears to be similarly removable, so I would guess that this will work.The iOptron counterweight kit comes with the screw adapter that converts from 3/8 x 16 to 1/4 x 20. Clearances would be critical, but again, I feel this will work. Can you buy it with an option to return? Best of luck.
