Useful for residential and commercial cable installers, the Platinum Tools LANSeeker is a cable tester and tone generator designed to test the usability of Ethernet cables. It identifies shorts, miswires, opens, reverses and split pairs, with a debug mode that diagnoses faults one pair at a time, displaying them on LED indicators on the main and remote unit. The LED monitors battery status as well.

The Platinum Tools TP250C ToneSeeker Tone Tracer Probe specifies compatibility for use with analog cable testers. The Platinum Tools TP500C LANSeeker Cable Tester tests digital cables and is not compatible.
