Best I found for my purpose

I have a few small lenses that do not fit well in some pouches I have. I use this for filling out empty space left in the pouch I use when traveling. I also use it as a pocket pouch when I'm shooting. Both uses work well for the way I pack and carry.

Just OK

Easy to use. Nice colors. Protection against scrapes and abrasions. Very little protection against knocks or dirt.

size issues

When you've picked the best size of pouch, it is good for protecting your lens (or other object) from dust -- but there's NOT much protection against moisture. And the different color pouches give you an easy way to be able to select the lens (or other object) you want (if you remember which color is for which object) -- without having to open the pouch. There's not much padding, which results in two consequences. First, your lens is NOT well protected from bumps and drops. But second, they are very light and flexible and do fold down quite nicely when empty. So if you're looking for padding, look elsewhere. But if you're looking for dust protection, and you want to get away from black, black and more black, then these colorful pouches are fine.

It's a pouch

I purchased this for a Canon EF 2x II Extender. It was actually too short but luckily will work on my 1.4x so I can put it to use. I honestly think this size pouch is only good for holding some filters in their plastic cases or a tiny 50mm f/1.8. I can't figure out why the next size up (Model 1.4) is two and a half times the price. I have purchased other generic pouches like this in the past and they all came with spring loaded clips to hold the draw-strings tight. I will have to go to JoAnnes now and buy some. The pouch is well made but not worth more then the ten bucks I paid.

Not sure what is a goblin lens. I store one camera lens in the one I bought.

I have bin putting my lens in my bag where the would bump each other. After I bought a group of Len pouches that stoped. Now I can put them in the bag with a better feeling of protection.

I didn't read the size dimensions carefully. It is wider than I thought, but that's ok,it is still a good bag for my lens. It is not super padded, but I think it is fine for my relatively light usage.

question

Would any of these fit a nikon D5500 body with a lens attached to it?
Asked by: Fernando
The Goblin pouches are designed for body only but if you can get a body with a lens attached all the better.

question

Can this hold the SD cards with their plastic cases?
Asked by: John P.
I understand the concern, but in reality, using the plastic card cases and the holder is like wearing both suspenders and a belt. Many pros will tell you that they never use the original plastic cases with their SD cards. I haven't for years with no problems at all.

question

How does the padding compare to neoprene pouches? Is it less protected?
Asked by: Fernando
thought originally that I wanted neoprene. it is relatively heavy and less pliable when used in this situation. I do have a few and relegate it to other uses due to just what I said. I agree for all the reasons others have given here.
