Evolis Primacy Lamination Overview

The fire red Primacy Lamination Simplex Expert Printer from Evolis prevents incidents of fraud as it has maximum durability and a high level of security. Using a direct-to-card dye sublimation or resin thermal transfer process, the Primacy can create vivid, detailed cards at resolutions starting at 300 x 300 dpi and going up to 300 x 1200 dpi. It is capable of single-sided printing and laminating with a speed of 215 cards per hour with a YMCK and 1/2 YMCK ribbon.

The printer features GEMPC USB-TR contact smartcard encoder and both USB & Ethernet connectivity. For operation, the Primacy can handle batch jobs with ease thanks to a 100-card input hopper and a 100-card output hopper. Along with this there is a 100-card reject box available to quickly and easily separate mistakes from an otherwise good batch. The printer is also simplified with notification and status LEDs on the front to serve as alerts for the user. Additionally, the Primacy has a Kensington-style lock slot for security.

Durable Cards
The cards are laminated by heat-sealing a film (varnish or patch of varying thickness) over the entire surface of the card once it has been encoded and printed.
Highly Secure Cards
Contact smart encoder - PC/SC, EMV 2000-1
Scalable
When you install your system, you connect the lamination module to the printer in one easy step by infrared communication. Your system is up and running within minutes. If you already have a Primacy printer, you can upgrade your system by buying the lamination module separately. The different ribbons and laminates are installed intuitively and are automatically recognized by the system.
