The FGP28C Go Plus from Benro is an carbon fiber, 4-section tripod which offers a variety of studio-support amenities in a compact, travel-tripod design.

Sporting an impressive strength-to-weight ratio, the FGP28C can support up to 30 lb while weighing just 3.5 lb. Usable at either full height or ground level, the tripod can extend up to a maximum height of 65.2" or be lowered down to a minimum height of just 15.4". It's compact and travel friendly design can be directly attributed to the reverse folding legs which break the tripod down to just 19.5" in length.

Each one of the tripod's legs features a 4-section design allowing for the optional deployment of different leg sections to achieve varying heights. The legs also utilize Benro's sealed twist-locks which help to resist dust and moisture. One of the legs, marked with a blue ring, can also be joined with the center column to form a monopod - a useful feature for shooting in environments where tripods may not be permitted. The center column also features a unique lateral arm function which allows the column to tilt horizontally and lock in a wide range of different angles and positions.

The tripod's top plate features a standard 3/8"-16 mounting screw ideal for attaching most common tripod heads. Additionally, the FGP28C includes a carrying case and a set of interchangeable spiked feet for increased stability in dirt, sand, mud, and snow.

FGP28C Go Plus 4-Section Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tripod This is my first truly high quality tripod; I have had many lower quality ones over the past 60 years. I purchased an Acratech GP ball head to go with it; reviewed separately. This tripod is fairly light weight and easy to carry around, which I did in the desert yesterday. Leg adjustment is smooth and easy. The cente column works well but has limitations in terms of steadiness; I expect that to be the case in general. I was interested in putting the head in some odd positions. It is easy to do, but one needs to understanding the limitations. A remote tripper in such cases is a necessity. I particularly wanted to be able to interchange feet since I would be using it outdoors often. Replacement of the rubber feet with the metal spikes was easy even though I wish it was integrated so that by twisting the foot the spikes could be put in pace or retracted without having to remove them entirely. Conversion to a monopod was simple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Portable Tripod It took me a bit to decide to go with this unit in fact I started with the Aluminium version but decided it was too heavy. Once I got this I was convinced it is the right tripod. It is incredibly stable and with a high max weight for its size it is perfect for mounting small tracking mounts and OTAs for astrophotography in harder to get locations. The rotation of the center column works very well and when locked down offers no wobble even when fully extended in the vertical position allowing you to make full use of the maximum height of the tripod. Being able to rotate it at any angle allows for much more careful positioning of the camera while maintaining stable footing. I decided on the SystemGo series over ones like the Travel Angel specifically for the center column rotation. I use this with a V1E head which fits perfectly that the mount with plate in it sits at exactly the same height as the feet fully retracted for easy storage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect. It is very flexible and light. It is very flexible. It can be adjust for several positions for camera installation. It is light compare to its capability. Price is more reasonable than some luxury brands with the same function.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not perfect, but quite sturdy and I love its versatility Very good quality to price ratio. Definitely. I love the general feeling of the tripod while handling it, its compactness while closed and the fact that you can keep the head (Benro G2 ball head) attached, since it fits well within closed legs (remember, they close upward). I appreciate carbon fibre, of course, but I would expecting the pad on the leg being softer. I use the tripod along with a G2 Ball Head for my Canon 80D and even while mounted with a Sigma 150-600. The overall combination stands quite sturdy and G2 is strong enough to keep it tight (while being careful through handling of the whole thing, of course). I am not saying that a gimbal is not needed, it would be a better option, but as far as I am concerned, it can wait (budget wise). Although I appreciate the versatility of its column going horizontal (at any angle, actually), making this tripod usable for so many configurations and applications, it becomes obviously its weak point in terms of strength and you must be one notch more careful in its handling with heavy equipment. I do not recommend fully extending up the column, you clearly feel some instability. However, I confirm it can stand it all with no noticeable problem so far and I have no regret having bought this feature. (Note that I extend column only half way at most). My evaluation would have been perfect, but I noticed the bubble level on the tripod does not show "level" when the three legs are extended and the tripod stands on a level surface. It might be a bad version I got as far as the bubble level itself or the legs (tripod) do not provide a good basic level. Hard to confirm. However, since you usually adjust the camera through the head mechanism, I did not feel it really bothered. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes,I would purchase this tripod again. Light weight, the combination of features and adjustability is the main reason I purchased the FGP28C GO Plus 4 Section tripod. And of course the B&H price.
