Ikelite 75344 Overview

Capture shots of coral reefs, parrot fish, and humpback whales with various wide-angle and zoom lenses in Ikelite's DL 8" Compact Dome Port, which has a depth rating of 200'. It accommodates many different lenses, including Canon, Nikon, Sigma, and Tokina models ranging from 8 to 105mm in focal length. The port can be mounted onto Ikelite's underwater DSLR and mirrorless camera housings that have the Dry Lock mount. Additionally, it can be attached to optional DL extensions to enable the use of long lenses. For complete compatibility details, see the port chart.

The clear dome magnifies images to a lesser degree than a flat port does, and corrects for the underwater distortion that makes things appear 25% larger and closer--thus helping to restore a wide angle of view. This compact version has a much slimmer profile than the standard 8" port, resulting in lower volume and making it a great choice for close focusing during wide-angle shots. The smaller size also saves space in your photo bag.

Built for durability, this American-made port features an optical acrylic front element and an acetyl plastic body. Protruding edges on the top and bottom act as a built-in shade, shielding the dome from excess light to prevent glare and lens flare. These edges also provide a little added protection against impact if you get a bit too close to your subject.

What extension do I need for a Canon RF 24mm f/1.8 Macro IS STM Lens?
Asked by: Oliver
To use the Canon RF 24mm f/1.8 Macro IS STM Lens in an Ikelite housing for a Canon R Mirrorless camera, all you need is the Ikelite DL 8" Compact Dome Port for Wide-Angle and Zoom Lenses in DSLR/Mirrorless Housings, BH #IK75344. No port extension is required.
