Sachtler 1015 overview

  • 1Description

Bearing the signature of a YouTube sensation and finished with unique bright green accents, the Sachtler Ace L Freddie Wong Edition Tripod brings smooth camera movements to those who wish to follow in his footsteps. Combining Sachtler's Ace L fluid head and 75/2 D MS legs, this system is ideal for smaller camera systems such as a mirrorless camera, DSLR, or small to medium-sized camcorder weighing up to 13.2 pounds.

The Ace L head features seven steps of counterbalance and three steps of pan and tilt drag adjustment, with zero drag options on both axes. Cameras are mounted using the sliding plate. Balance your setup by moving the plate backward and forward. Having 4.1" of sliding area provides flexibility for less conventional rigs.

At the top of the 75/2 D MS legs is a 75mm bowl mount for securing the Ace L head. The system itself has a 30.7 to 66.5" height range for low and high shots. Use the integrated mid-level spreader to quickly set the tripod up on even or uneven surfaces. At the base of the legs are rubber tripod feet which retract to bare spikes for extra stability outdoors.

Once you're done shooting, the entire tripod folds to a 33.5" length and fits nicely inside the included padded case. The integrated shoulder strap makes for easy carrying when on the go.

Ace L Freddie Wong Edition Tripod System is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tripod Lightweight and high quality. Handles a moderately built up RED EPIC. Tripod does NOT come with Freddie Wong.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I've officially been won over by the Sachtler line. This Tripod is certainly worthy of the Sachtler name. The head's pan and tilt is butter smooth and having an illuminated buble level is incredibly useful. The legs do seem a bit flimsy although ive yet to have a problem with them. By far the best part about this tripod is the is the weight. I do alot of run and gun shooting and carrying around a big heavy tripod has always been such a pain in the butt. Having a light tripod in a padded case that i can sling on my back is so convenient.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tripod! When I first got it, the tilt fluid ring was a bit sticky, but I think it's gotten broken in now and I don't have any problems. It's a little narrow at the base, which makes it not the most stable tripod in the world, but it's also at a great price so I can't complain. Comes with multiple tie down screws so your camera doesn't pan independently of the head. The fluidity is great and the three steps of tension are very useful. Works great with my Sony a7s II

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great L head for the price I've only used it for one shoot but so far I've been pretty pleased. The L head is very fluid and handled my little Canon t3i wonderfully. I was going back and forth between this and the Ace M but picked this due to larger weight capacity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected !!! The title says it all getting a ace L for under $800 is a no brainer lol.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jazzed I am very excited to work with this tripod. I have owned a mid level tripod for years and, though this isn't top end, it is higher end than I have had. I have unpacked it and worked briefly with it and it is awesome!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Tripod I wanted a light tripod that is fluid with pans and tilts. This has not disappointed! No herky jerky shakes. Primarily bought it for my Sony z150 with attachments. So far so good. Nice and light!
