DJI CP.PT.000587 overview

  • 1Description

The Intelligent Flight Battery for Mavic from DJI has its own integrated battery-management system that takes into account everything from remaining voltage, amount of power being used, temperature, and more to calculate remaining flight times, so you always know when to head home. It also has a host of protection mechanisms in place to prevent overcharging and over draining, both of which can damage a LiPo battery permanently. When placed in longer term storage, LiPo batteries should only be kept at 50% charge. Any more or less could cause permanent damage. If left unused, DJI Intelligent Flight Batteries will discharge power until 50% to maintain good health.

If you live in a cold place or plan to fly on a winter break, low-temperature protection will activate. This controls available propulsion power based on the temperature of the battery, so that only a fully-warmed-up battery can offer full power.

DJI CP.PT.000587 reviews

Intelligent Flight Battery for Mavic Quadcopter is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 84.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from If I only had the drone to go with... Though I had ordered the Mavic a week before ordering the extra battery, I am now the proud owner of a super intelligent battery with nothing which to plug it in! As the drone still has yet to be sent, I decided to test out the intelligence level of this battery first hand. I am sad to say that the battery performed far below my original expectations. After multiple rounds of chess, The battery has yet to even come close to winning a game. Truthfully, it doesn't even seem interested in the act to begin with. Maybe it was beyond such trivial activities? I then decided to engage the battery on many topics including, science, philosophy, and the meaning of life. Again, nothing!! So far, I haven't found anything that causes the battery to react beyond the blinking lights when pressing the button on the top. I hope to provide a more thorough review once the drone arrives, as I have heard it functions much batter when they are used in conjunction with each other.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 New Mavic Batteries I always use the maker's brand for replacement of components hence DJI Flight Batteries for my Mavic Pro. The only problem I have is all of the other components have the custom wraps on them. Now I have two new batteries that are Naked. Since the batteries are on the top part of the drone when it is flying I am the only person that will know they don't match the rest of the drone. Not sure I would pay for the decals as many of them are coming off and the adhesive is shot. Money down the tube. Batteries are fine however.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from it's a battery well, not just any battery. it is the intelligent flight battery for the DJI Mavic. it's the only one for the Mavic and you can't use it for anything but the Mavic (I think there's a battery to USB adapter but there are cheaper options for that kind of thing. When I bought my Mavic I thought the battery it came with and its about 25mins of flight time was plenty. I could just recharge and fly again 2 hours later. I was wrong. flying the Mavic is addictive and having a spare battery (or better, 2 spares) double/triples the fun. I find myself a lot first fly and record a path, then do the actual filming on a second 'waypoints' flight so i can concentrate on the camera. Having additional fresh batteries for the 'money shots' is essential. If you are thinking about buying the Mavic, you might want to consider the combo pack which among other things contains extra batteries. if not (if you don't need a bag or car charger), just buy the extra batteries. and buy them here at B&H, free fast shipping and great customer service is hard to beat..

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't even last 5 months!!! Battery stopped working for no reason after 5 months. When I contacted DJI for warranty I had missed the deadline by a few days and they refused to help. Not impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes Received my original Mavic Pro Battery on time and in excellent condition. I tested the battery level and it checked out fine. I'm happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2nd Battery needed If you want to play/work with Mavic Quadcopter, a 2nd battery is a necessity. When you are into an activity of flying Mavic, you probably want to finish the activity like do a 2nd take of the video shots or if you only have an hour to fly the drone. If you don't have the 2nd battery, you have either wait for another 2 hours to recharge the battery or wait for another day to fly again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a new battery in a new box, not much to say There seemed to be some type of white smudgy film across the top of the three batteries. I was able to wipe most of it off, but there still seems to be some slightly noticeable film left. They've worked just fine (I mean, they're just batteries) for the last two weeks since purchasing them. Eventually, I'll pull out some rubbing alcohol and clean them up some more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Should include charger The battery itself is great: well-made and flight time is great. DJI doesn't include a plug/transformer with each battery purchase (nor separately as far as I know) so to charge multiple batteries requires using the plug/transformer that comes with the Mavic Pro and the charging hub (sold separately). But this takes a long time to charge multiple batteries, since it does them successively (one at a time), not concurrently (all at once). Charging four batteries using the hub takes 6 hours! Still, you gotta love the Mavic Pro!
