Pre-cut slots ignore necessities

I just unboxed this and I'm baffled that there isn't a slot for the base mount. On the right side there appears to be a slot fit for the mount but it's off by just enough that there is no way to slide it in without bending the foam. It seems that we'll have to cut it to make it fit. The same goes for our Rode�VideoMicro Compact On-Camera Mic, which will be cut into the slot made for the follow focus. I'm disappointed that DJI would ignore such necessities that come with the kit, while facilitating extras.

Good hard case that does the job. However, lots of additional cut-outs for accessories you may or may not need. Should have a shoulder strap or option to add one. It's small size means checking it for a flight seems risky, but also too large to pack inside another case and therefore carrying as cabin bag is only option and this is problematic (see shoulder strap comment above).

The foam in the upper compartment appears to be cut for the X%R Camera; to incorporate that large plate, not for the X5 gimbal. Does this fit both the OSMO handle with the X5 AND X5R cameras?
