This works with RTMP compatible servers and services. You do not need to use the Livestream Service specifically.

Does the switcher come with the Livestream Studio software pre-installed? Or do you need to purchase a separate Studio USB to activate it?
The software is pre-installed. The machine runs Windows and the icon for the program is easily visible once you boot it up. The only issue is with fan noise, which could be a bit much if your talent is right near the device.
