This UDM-1 Ultrasonic Distance Measure Basic Set provides focus measuring data for any ARRI or other brand of camera. The UDM-1 measures the distance between the sensor/film plane and the subject or object with ultrasonic pulses. Focus tracking is enabled when using the UDM-1 with an ALEXA Plus/Studio and the UMC-4 controller. The UDM Display unit shows the distance data on an LCD screen.

A sensor unit, display, and a sensor cable are included with the UDM-1 Basic Set. Mounting options are available separately.

This UDM Ultrasonic Sensor Unit provides focus measuring data for any ARRI or other brand of camera. The UDM Sensor measures the distance between the sensor/film plane and the subject or object with ultrasonic pulses. The UDM Sensor is used with the UDM Display Unit (available separately). It may also be paired with an ARRI ALEXA Plus/Studio camera and a UMC-4 controller.

If all you are looking for is to have the UDM readout function, then yes. You can use the sensor and display separately from the LCS. Simply mount the horns and display, connect the two units with the UDM sensor cable, and connect the display to an appropriate power output (D-tap or RS). Cable UDM-RS [K2.65240.0 (yellow cable)] Cable UDM-D.Tap [K2.0023553] If you want to have the UDM values and Lens Data readout on a WCU-4, you will need the following: WCU-4 UMC-4 + a lens motor and LBUS Cable Cable UDM-UMC [K2.6144.0] UDM-1 or if you wanted to have UDM values but no Lens Data readout on a third party hand unit, you will need the following: - CForce RF Motor + LBUS Cable - LCube CUB-1 Serial Convertor - Cable UDM-UMC [K2.6144.0] - UDM-1
