Dedicated to the Sony a6500 mirrorless camera, this Body Case is a form-fitted, genuine leather case that protects the camera body from bumps and scratches during use, and also enhances grip and prevents slippage while handling. It attaches to the camera's tripod mount via an integrated 1/4"-20 flat-type screw and, once attached, retains access to the battery and memory card slot as well as the USB port, and also maintains full LCD screen tilting functionality. Additionally, the case does not affect NFC or other wireless connectivity.

Leather Body Case for a6500 Camera is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this again The leather body case is very well made and feels like a quality product. It exceeded my expectations. It adds some depth to the grip, which I believe is needed. It also adds to the height of the camera by about 3/8 that keeps my pinky finger from hanging off. Access to battery compartment and side panel is very easy. The screen is easier to access too. It's a little pricey but I would diffidently buy it again. Mike

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good body protection and high quality with some nits. Very well made body case; provides good protection for the areas it encompasses. The only nit beside the high price, is that the battery compartment cover (on the bottom) that opens opposite to the camera's battery compartment cover makes it difficult to pop out the SD card...The trick, to make this work, is to push the SD down and let it spring off your finger/thumb. The ejection spring in the camera will actually eject the SD card out of the camera body...be quick not to let it go sailing in the air...no kidding (strong eject spring). The other compartment has no issue (recharge, video, and audio connections). These compartments open opposite each other and there is no large gap as the hinged cover is on the side, not the bottom, of the camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good buy Fits camera as advertised, all camera ports and doors easily accessible, gives a better grip to the A6500 and some added protection-- added weight is insignificant and the fit is snug

Rated 1 out of 5 by from In the running for one of the dumbest things ever made I have big hands. I bought this thinking a little extra heft for a small camera mades sense. Read all the positive reviews and pulled the trigger the same day I bought the camera. The camera holds the sd card in the battery port. Putting this on makes you practically need tweezers to insert and remove a card. Very very annoying in the field. Even worse, I put a gimbal/tripod plate on it once. it worked fine. then I tried to take the plate off. The tripod screw mount in this body case is inside the screw you used to mount the case. So when I tried to take my tripod plate off, it unsrewed the thread for the case, so the case came off. Which was fine. Then I wasted half an hour trying to get my tripod plate off the case. You can't. There isn't anything to hold onto, so the case screw just spins forever. I literally hulked out and tore the case in half so I could take the screw out. I tossed it in the garbage. Horrible horrible piece of garbage. I'm shocked it exists. If you have no intention of ever mounting it on a tripod, gimbal, monopod or anything else, and are only going to handhold forever, and have tiny little elf hands to reach into the card slot, you'll love it. Horrible.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fits my hand like a glove This redesigned case is perfect for my use of the a6500. I shoot a lot of street photography and also have large hands, so this adds the perfect amount of heft without being too chunky or unwieldy. An access cover for the battery/SD slot has been added. While this eliminates the need to fully remove the case to access the compartment, I've already noticed after only a short break-in period that the walls around the flap bend in and partially block the primary flap attached to the camera body. It's not a big deal, but it could be if you need to change quickly because it requires just that much more care and attention when changing. Overall, this is still a fantastic case; the leather is sturdy yet soft, and if the flap issue gets corrected it would easily be 5 stars.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not great protection, expensive. Pros: Fits well and has a nice feel. Doesn't impede access to the battery/sd card. Works fine with tripod mount. Cons: Reduces clearance between grip and lens noticeably, and enough I'll sometimes bump focus inadvertently when adjusting grip. Doesn't protect the back or top at all, I wish it wrapped around a little more. Of course this is obvious from the photo, but for the price... For the money, I think the cheap silicone cases are the way to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sony leather body case A photographer friend of mine who owns a Sony a6000 and a6300 brought it to my attention that I may want the leather body case for my Sony a6500. Once I received it, I could immediately tell the difference in the way it felt in my hands. The Sony a6500 has a small body and the leather case allows you to have a better grip of the camera. You can still attach your camera to a tripod, and have full access to the battery compartment and side camera jacks. The one thing I will add is removing the SD card can be a little tricky. I usually will press down on the card and swipe at the same time to get it to bounce up higher so I can grab it. When I first put the case on my camera, I couldn't get the card out and was using tweezers but I started doing it the way I just described by pressing down and swiping and I have no issues now. I highly recommend this case for the Sony a6500!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition to the A6500. I was looking for a little more protection for my A6500 while it was in my camera bag and slung around my shoulder. This provides just enough protection and a more comfortable grip. It isn't a full case of course but I was after something to protect the edges of the camera and this does nicely. Easy access to battery, card and ports without taking the camera out. Very happy.
