Ruggard 75 overview

  • 1Description

Explore the wonders of the world through the magic of photography with the black Large Lynx 75 SlingPack for DSLR and 17" Laptop from Ruggard. The SlingPack is designed to store, protect, and transport a DSLR with an attached 200mm lens, extra lenses, a flash, and related accessories. Padded touch-fastening dividers make organizing gear fast and easy. Use the upper zippered compartment with interior pockets for personal items, or for additional equipment. By removing the touch-fastening base of this compartment, the SlingPack can be reconfigured for other uses. This is also a good place for storing the included rain cover.

Toward the rear of the SlingPack is a padded, zippered compartment for an up to 17" laptop or tablet. Zippered openings allow left, right, and front access to gear. Keep items requiring ready access, such as a wallet, phone, or keys in either of the side pockets, which have touch-fastening flap closure. Glove wearers will appreciate the large metal zipper pullers. And the bottom front of the pack has a pullout pouch for supporting the base of a compact tripod, which is complemented by an adjustable strap with a quick release buckle above for the tripod's midsection.

Carry your SlingPack with the top strap handle, rear trolley strap, or wear with the padded, adjustable shoulder harness. Convert to left or right sling carry by simply unbuckling the bottom of either shoulder strap and connecting it to the opposite side. The unneeded strap is then hidden behind the padded back panel. And for added stability and comfort, the SlingPack features an adjustable, padded waist belt with a quick release buckle. Heavy-duty nylon construction with generous padding ensures strength and durability. A grommet located on the front of the SlingPack may be used for attaching a bicycle light or other item. With sleek lines and useful features, the SlingPack is both stylish and functional.

Left, right, and front zippered panels for easy access to gear
Upper daypack area offers storage for a light jacket, booklets, or other personal accessories
Top adjustable straps position the SlingPack higher or lower for improved comfort and weight distribution
Bottom is reinforced for durability and allows the SlingPack to stand upright
Bright interior fabric facilitates locating gear in low light

    Ruggard 75 reviews

Lynx 75 SlingPack for DSLR and 17" Laptop (Black, Large) is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great backpack This is a very well made, roomy backpack. I bought this one after carefully considering the many packs offered at B&H and finally decided on the Lynx 75. And I sure picked the right one. It currently holds: a Pentax K-70 DSLR with a Pentax 75-300mm lens and an Op-Tech uni loop strap attached, a Pentax 18-55mm lens, a prime focus and variable tele-extender astrophotography kit, a cleaning kit (consisting of a spray bottle of Purosol, a bulb blower and a microfiber cloth), two more microfiber cloths, a spare battery and charger with power cord, a 15 laptop with power brick and power cord, a usb cable, 2 sd cards, and the included rain cover. I could easily pack in a couple additional lenses, some other assorted accessories, and a small lunch. A great buy!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid backpack for DSLR, lenses etc I've been carrying around my GH5 and assorted lenses, SD cards and batteries. It's a pretty solid backpack, fits snugly around the shoulders, plenty of room inside to make sure everything fits well and safely. With side zippers on both sides, you might yourself opening the wrong zipper sometimes and a lens falling out. So I have to remember which side to open. Other complaint is the side pockets are only held shut by velcro. I would've loved a more protected zipper compartment. But you can't beat the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quality Bag! For a day trip by train to Manhattan I packed my Ruggard Lynx 75 SlingPack with a Nikon D750 with a 24-70 2.8 lens attached, a D4, and a 70-200 2.8. I also brought with me two portable flash units. I place my MacBook Pro 15 inch in the padded laptop compartment. I didn't really change the way to compartments were already set up. I did move a divider to the side to allow for the body with the 24 to 72 fit in nicely. I use the top panel to hold my 70-200 and therefore was very easy to get to. I did have a few compartments that I wasn't using. I was happy that three out of the four compartment doors to enter the bag all have mesh storage compartment on them. Lifting up the bag you can feel how heavy all this gear was, but after putting it over my shoulders and securing the straps around my waist it was very comfortable to walk around with. I prefer to use this bag has a backpack and like the convenience of having the side zipper pockets. But I think using this bag has a SlingPack would take some time for me to get use to. If you're traveling with a tripod this bag has a spot for it. For the price this is really a fantastic bag. I have no problems recommending this bag for those who want to go out on day trips with a minimal amount of gear, but with a bag that will protect that gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pack Bought this for my son, who was looking for the “perfect” camera pack. After using it for two weeks, he thanked me again and said there isn’t a bag he could’ve received that could be more versatile than this one. He is extremely pleased, adding that not only is the bag’s versatility amazing, but the bright color of the interior makes very easy to see and locate anything he needs. This bag hits it out of the park.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless I was looking for a sling bag to accommodate my D800 with 80-200 attached, Macbook Pro and other accessories on a trip to Europe. Dimensions seemed right, photos looked good - bought the Lynx 75 online. Unfortunately the bag is not even close to what expected. Zippers - cheap and sticky, Padding - thin. This is a big bag, but I was surprised how little you can put in it. Dividers don't make any sense. There's a huge unused space on the left of the camera body - it can't be reconfigured (see attached photo). 2 side pockets - a joke: not even a cell phone fits there - useless. The back portion deformed and lopsided when equipment is inside. The most surprising thing is - how heavy it feels in comparison to other bags of the same weight with same equipment inside. Something is totally wrong with ergonomics/weight distribution. Conclusions. This is not a bag for a professional photographer. (I would return mine, but it's already has been used). Very cheap Chinese quality. Doesn't protect equipment. I can put everything that fits in Lynx 75 in a good photo bag half its size!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Travel Bag This bag is cleverly designed for easy access. It has options for where to put your gear and how to get to your camera in a pinch. Holds a laptop a pair of cameras with lenses with room for flash and some accessories.
