Designed to provide 60W of amplification through its 1x8" twin-cone speaker, the Compact Mobile from AER is a two-channel, battery-powered combo amplifier geared toward acoustic guitarists playing in outdoor venues—or indeed, any locale without available power. It's modeled on AER's Compact 60, giving you dual-channel operation quite suitable for singer/songwriters on the move, with independent tone sections for your guitar and your voice.
The front panel provides you with a conventional 1/4" instrument input for channel one, while channel two utilizes a combination jack and thus allows for both XLR and 1/4" connections. Channel one provides gain, bass, middle, and treble controls, as well as a high/low selector to suit various types of pickups. Also, the Colour button activates a tone-shaping filter, changing the relationship between the midrange and high-end frequencies. Over in channel two you'll find gain, bass, and treble controls, as well as a selector that allows you to choose between mic and line inputs.

AER COMPACT-MOBILE/2 Overview
Battery Powered
With two rechargeable batteries, you can operate this amplifier for up to four hours at a time. Recharging the amp is an overnight affair at 16 hours.
On-Board Effects
A comprehensive effects section allows you to access two types of reverb, a delay, and a chorus, with the level knob dictating the dry/wet signal ratio.
Parallel Effects Loop
Should you wish to utilize outboard gear, you can do so through a parallel effects loop, the output of which can be blended at varying degrees with channel one, channel two, or any combination thereof—all via the pan knob.
Phantom Power & Various Indicators
This amplifier provides phantom power for condenser microphones, and offers low battery and charging indicators to help you keep track of your power. Clip indicators on both channels let you know when you're playing too loud for the amplifier.
Rear Panel Connectivity
Turn your attention to the rear panel and you'll note a bevy of connection points—no fewer than nine, in fact. Two RCA inputs allow you to play auxiliary tracks from a CD player or MP3 device, though you'll also find connections for headphones, a 1/4" line out, a tuner, a footswitch, and your effects loop. Lastly, an XLR output allows you to feed a DI to a mixer, interface, or PA system.
