Constructed from a lightweight, durable polycarbonate, the housing guards against water as well as impacts and dust when above the surface. Mechanical button and dial type controls afford direct access to the camera's menu system for adjusting settings and navigating the menu system, and the housing also supports the use of the camera-bundled FL-LM3 shoe-mounted flash, as well as secondary flashes via optical fiber cable connection. An interchangeable lens port system is used to permit working with a variety of Micro Four Thirds lenses, and the housing body also incorporates a removable LCD hood to enhance visibility of the camera's rear LCD monitor and electronic viewfinder while diving.
