  • 1Description

The 360cam Full HD 360-Degree VR Camera from Giroptic is a compact, waterproof camera designed to produce 2K spherical video suitable for virtual reality applications. The 360cam Full HD Camera features real-time image stitching, eliminating the need for external processing. This means you can share your content via your iOS, Android, or Windows Phone device, or virtual reality device without worrying about post-production compatibility. The 360cam Full HD Camera's three 185° lenses and three 8MP sensors produce a 360° x 300° field of view while its three microphones capture 3D audio. You can also employ the camera to create 4K spherical JPEG photos; it has photo, burst, and time-lapse modes.

The 360cam Full HD Camera records to a separately available Class 10 microSD card (up to 128GB) and has a micro-USB port for file transfers and battery charging. A colored LED screen handily displays the camera's mode status and battery level. The 360cam Full HD Camera includes two rechargeable 3.7V Li-ion batteries, a tripod adapter, USB cable, wrist strap, and carrying bag. The free, downloadable 360cam application enables you to use your phone, tablet, or computer to view and share images, and to remotely control the camera. The 360cam Full HD Camera has GPS geo-tagging for enhancing social media posts of your images.

    GIROPTIC GIR360C reviews

360cam Full HD 360-Degree VR Camera is rated 1.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Image and video quality sucks Talk about over marketing a product. The sample videos and images on Giroptic's site offer no indication of what you'd actually get out of the 360cam. The images are grainy even if shot in broad daylight and the videos are blurred and full of noise irrespective of the scene shot it. We purchased the camera as it supported network streaming and we wanted to stream critical surgeries live to a student audience but we'd be better off asking the students to watch the recording on VHS than use the output from this low quality, misleadingly advertised product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Really great idea, executed poorly The devices does actually perform all the functions it advertises. It's biggest downfall is the image quality. It if horrid. I wasn't able to find any user generated footage online until after my product shipped. When I did find it though, wow it sucked. I hoped that it was an issue just limited to early kickstarter units. nope. image quality is laughable. It has so much promise. I got it with the Ethernet dock which can take POE which is awesome. it then automatically streams a stitched equirectangular footage over RTSP so you can just stream it over VLC. This function worked very well and would have fit my needs perfectly had it not been for the image quality. it looks like the sensors are about the same quality as those that use to be in original iPhones. Very sad because the combination of form factor, stitching in camera, and PoE functionality is impossible to find any where else. It's going back

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Idea, Poor Image Quality When this was announced on Kickstarter, I was an early supporter..... and after about 2 years, when it came out, the quality isn't even good enough to use casually. That said, the stitching isn't bad, and the ability to add your own nodal stamp in camera is great. I'd completely re-buy if they came out with an 8k version. Too bad

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad Image Quality Just like everyone else has said, horrible image quality. The bothersome part is the promotional images and video they use on their website. Not representative of what it actually shoots at all. I was supposed to use this to capture 100 rooms on campus. The web team told me that the images are way too noisy/lo-res and don't want to use them. Waste of time and $$$.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor image quality and terrible software I was a Kickstarter for this and I can honestly say I've never been able to use this for anything. The image is terrible. The software to, view and retrieve the image is borderline unusable. Terrible waste of money. They had good intentions, but this was terribly executed. Now it appears they just abandoned it for a new protect they're trying to sell. Don't do it.
