This 3/8"-16 Wooden Camera Low-Profile Screw is a captive tie-down screw suitable for use with Wooden Camera's Quick Base, Dovetail Clamp, or QR Plate, as well as select third-party tripod quick release plates. The screw features threads only at the tip, making it unlikely to fall out of the threaded channel when not engaged in a camera or device.

I reviewed this product maybe 6-7 yrs ago. It's not the same screw! The groove is too narrow for the RED tool. I bought this specifically b/c I have some other camera screws that are too narrow for that tool. I have other screwdrivers, but I like to simplify and not have a million different tools, especially on travel jobs, or jobs where space is key. I never understood why screws this wide would have such a narrow groove. Screwdrivers that wide tend to be thicker...so I can use a tiny little screwdriver that fits the groove, but only uses half of the width of the head. I would return it, but I'm lazy/busy, so it will just sit unused in a drawer or container of AKS that I will probably never touch except in an emergency.
Glad that it has a flat slot for screwdriver, rather than a curved one for a coin...
