Now upgraded with a molded foam construction, the Flexible Lite-Scoop 3 Flash Modifier from Lite Genius is an exceptionally portable 8.5 x 5.5" reflector that photographers can use to soften the light from a shoe-mounted flash. It softens and spreads the light, getting rid of red-eye and the harsh shadows commonly found when using direct flash while also improving specular highlights. Additionally, this model is made from a 50% thicker molded foam that allows it to be easily stuffed and stored in a camera bag and then still retain its shape when taken back out.

The Lite-Scoop 3 has a unique shape that lets it be used in both portrait and landscape orientations. Also, it will work with lenses as wide as 18mm thanks to a large coverage area. Users can easily mount it to their flash as well due to a strap with hook-and-loop fasteners.

Made from molded foam that is 50% thicker than previous models allowing it to be flexible and be stored in bags easily while always retaining its shape.
Functions as a reflector and advanced bounce card as it directs the light toward your subject while still permitting some light to bounce off the wall and ceiling of your room.

I was curious about a replacement for/alternative to the soft bounce for my Profoto A series on-camera unit. I'm unhappy with profoto's magnet strength, and my second basic bounce card from them is already cracked and falling off repeatedly at gigs. I had reached out to Lite Genius through their website and Bob got back to me two hours later ON A SUNDAY! Take a day off, Bob! Anyways, he didn't have hands on experience with the profotos, but reassured me that the shape and anti-slip band should be a good match so I took the dive. It provides a good snug fit around the flash bean zoom ring, with a little space to spare before it reaches the indent directly below the head that allows the flash to bend to 90 degrees. Seems solidly built with nice materials. The metal tab at the end of the simple strap (no buckle) and metal rivet are nice touches, that feel good and make it look premium. If you want to avoid putting it directly over the zoom ring so that it's not stressing it, or you want to turn the ring without having to fiddle with the scoop you can put it around the indent and it doesn't interfere with the pivot of the head at all, but does negate about an inch of the (generous) white bounce surface. If you're worried about that, size up! I think I'll be happy with the remaining 6.5" of height (I measured). It does make it slightly harder to turn the bounce if you want to reorient the flash head for any reason, but by no means undoable handheld. A couple simple shots at home immediately after unboxing have yielded good, even results. Here are some of my dog, but you'll have to trust me that the softness on skin and lack of specularity are very promising. My girlfriend wasn't prepared to be my model, so I won't be sharing those. Bear in mind I have 10' ceiling height and for those there was about 3.5' between the flash head and the ceiling, but for these shots of my dog there was 6ish between me and it when crouched. Will have to try some outside or somewhere with higher ceilings. Took the first couple with the bounce faced straight ahead, then one with it pointed at the white wall 3'~ away and the power raised 1 stop. Very pleased.

While it is intended for indoor use I use mine outdoors as well. I love how it diffuses the light and eliminates shadows indoors too. The first photo at the lighthouse is evidence of what it can do outdoors. The second photo shows what is typical of what I get indoors using it.
