    It is an ok light

I have two of this light for over 2 years. I barely use them. I would say total less than 5 times. Recently I have some video projects need a lot of light. So I bought the godox vl300. I would say for same setting, vl300 give me 3.5 stop advantage over this 55w light. But what surprise me is this cametv light has very good color accuracy and color temperature, both so close to the godox vl300. That I can mix these lighting without noticable issue. That why I start to think the cametv light is not as bad as people say. It can focus beam narrow or wide. The barndoor is useful. And the adapter let you mount bowen accessories is useful as well. Drawback mainly is the yoke to me. So weak can not hold anything large than 24in softbox. And the sony type battery not realiable. Sometimes a fullly charged battery will shut down the light and the battery won't power it again. Need change another battery. And this time it may works fine. Maybe use other type of power solution? I did not look into it. Also the price dropped a lot compare to 2 years ago. I remember over $300 for 1 light before. Overall not recommended for your main light. But they are good to use together with your mainly light. It has great color. Has no issue mix with my godox vl300.

    Yes.

I am a professional videographer and I have been slowly started building up my own light kit. I started with a few small and medium LED light panels. I quickly realized that I needed some lights with some punch and that could be shaped easily. I then purchased the Aputure 120d which I love. I then purchased the Boltzen to use primarily for fill/accent/hairlight. So far I am very happy with the light, it has more power than I anticipated and the light is nice and clean. The build quality is very impressive. As other's have mentioned, you can lock down the light in the yoke but if you had a modifier with any heft on the front, the light would likely rotated down in the yolk. Also it ships with a nice little case but it is not designed to hold the light with the yolk attached so you have to remove it every time you want to store it back in it's bag. I am grateful for the bag none-the-less. The transformer that came with my light said it was for the Bolzen 35 only. I reached out to Came-TV tech support to address the issue and they literally responded within minutes. Turns out it was simply an errantly placed label so all was good but I was really impressed by how responsive their support was. To me, that is worth a lot! I just ordered up my second Boltzen 55:)

    question

Does anyone know a particular brand of NPF batteries this will work with? I have 4x NPF 970 batteries and only one of them (I'm not sure what brand it is) will power the Boltzen - the rest will power it for about 30 sec and then it will die.
    Asked by: Adam
970 is useless... and dangerous.. it gets very very very hot and then dies rapidly.. the NP-F975 will work..

I would like to hang this light 20 feet in the air. If I power them by a 120V non-dimable power source, will they turn on at the settings last used? Or will someone have to turn them on or adjust the dimmer settings. I want to put them on a light switch on the wall and have them turn on at the prescribed dimmer setting.
    Asked by: John
Yes, the light will remain at the last setting after powering off.

    question

Does this have a remote ?
    Asked by: Joe
While the CAME-TV Boltzen 55W Focusable Fresnel Daylight LED Light does not have a remote control, they do offer the CAME-TV Boltzen Wi-Fi Controller, B&H # CABZWIFI, which would be compatible with smartphones & tablets that are Wi-Fi compatible using CAME-TV's Boltzen LED App. This would allow you to control the brightness (and color temperature on Bi-Color units), and also has a timer to set ON/OFF times for the light fixture.
