The Lenovo ThinkServer RD350 Rack Server is outfitted with some of the essential components so you can quickly start building a Windows Server, Linux, or VMware server that is designed for corporate environments. The RD350 comes installed with a 1.7 GHz Intel Xeon E5-2609 v4 octa-core processor, 16GB of 2400 MHz DDR4 ECC memory chip, and Aspeed AST2400 graphics with 16MB of video memory. For storage, it offers four 3.5" drive bays along with an onboard Lenovo RAID 110i controller so you can create a storage pool of data for meeting your needs. The hardware RAID controller allows you to configure your drives in a RAID 0, 1, or 10 array, and RAID 5 is also possible with the purchase of an optional key. Other notable features include hot-swap and redundancy power, allowing the ThinkServer RD350 to keep data safe and the system available.
Lenovo lets you increase the performance of the ThinkServer RD350 by installing a second optional Intel Xeon E5-2609 v4 processor and populating its sixteen DIMM slots with up to 1TB of RAM chips to better handle your daily workloads. Each installed processor can drive two integrated PCIe 3.0 slots, enabling you to add a dedicated graphics card as well as a 10GbE adapter card. There's also a 9.5mm optical bay that can accommodate a slim DVD or DVD±RW drive.
The Lenovo ThinkServer RD350 server is equipped with two Gigabit Ethernet ports that connect to your network. It comes powered with an efficient 750W power supply that has an 80-PLUS Platinum certification. You can install a sold-separately power supply to enable redundancy in case a PSU fails. Aside from power, the RD350 has two USB 2.0, two USB 3.0, and two VGA ports along with a single serial port and a Gigabit Ethernet port that is designed for system management. For cooling the internal components, four fans are on board.
