The Lenovo ThinkServer TD350 Tower Workstation comes with some of the bare essentials-including a 2.4 GHz Intel Xeon E5-2640 v4 processor along with eight 2.5" storage bays-letting you build an enterprise-class system for creating VMs and sharing data. The Intel Xeon E5-2640 v4 processor features 25MB of cache memory, comes with ten cores, and offers speeds of up to 3.4 GHz while running demanding tasks. For improved performance, the ThinkServer TD350 can also accommodate a second Intel processor, letting it handle a greater amount of users. Additionally, a single stick of 16GB DDR4 ECC RDIMM is installed.
The ThinkServer RD450 is capable of supporting 2.5" SSDs and hard drives that have a 12 Gbps SATA or SAS interface. Once drives are installed into the TD350's hot-swappable drive bays, you can load up an operating system from Microsoft, Red Hat, or VMware. Aside from the OS, the TD350 sports a hardware AnyRAID 720i RAID controller that lets you configure your drives in a RAID 0, 1, 10, 5, 6, 50, or 60 array. Moreover, 1GB of cache memory is available for improving the delivery of data.
Visuals are processed utilizing an onboard Aspeed AST2400 graphics system with 16GB of video memory and delivered via a single VGA port. Networking is achieved by two Gigabit Ethernet ports, and three PCIe 3.0 x16 slots are available so you can add optional 10GbE adapter cards. Other notable connections include two USB 2.0 and four USB 3.0 ports as well as single serial port and an Ethernet port for system management. There's also a 750W Plus-Platinum power supply on board, and a second sold-separately power supply is supported so you can provide the ThinkServer TD350 with redundant power.
