HP M130fw overview

  • 1Description

Simplify your setup with the wireless LaserJet Pro M130fw All-in-One Monochrome Laser Printer from HP, which packs in printing, scanning, copying, and faxing capabilities in a single unit. Create sharp documents thanks to FastRes technology, which can boost the 600 x 600 dpi resolution to effectively 1200 dpi. Also, it works quickly with a print speed of up to 23 ppm. Using a 150-sheet input tray and a 35-sheet ADF, users can print documents ranging in size from 3 x 5" to 8.5 x 14". Furthermore, with built-in Wi-Fi connectivity with support for Wi-Fi Direct, users can print directly from a mobile device without connecting to the network.

Scanning, copying, and faxing is enabled through the implementation of both flatbed and ADF scanners, both of which can handle color and black and white documents up to 8.5 x 11.7". The flatbed can reach up to 1200 dpi with monochrome scanning and 600 dpi in color while the ADF will scan at up to 300 dpi. For ease of use, the front control panel features a 2.7" touchscreen LCD. Additionally, it offers USB 2.0 and Ethernet for more conventional connectivity.

HP Auto-On/Auto-Off Technology will help save energy when the printer is not in use.
Print wirelessly from a mobile device or computer thanks to built-in support for Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print 2.0, Mopria, and Wi-Fi Direct.
Scan to email and network folders via the 2.7" touchscreen LCD.
Copies can be adjusted with lighter/darker, optimize, and draft mode settings.
The fax capabilities include a memory of up to 1000 pages, auto fax reduction, auto-redialing, fax delayed sending, distinctive ring support, fax forwarding, phone TAM interface support, fax polling support, telephone mode, junk barrier, speed dials, PC interface, and telephone handset support.

    HP M130fw reviews

LaserJet Pro M130fw All-in-One Monochrome Laser Printer is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great printer for the price Prints great - letter or legal size. Copies are great too - letter or legal. Touch screen is small but it does tilt out which helps with viewing and I found that a light touch vs pressing hard works like a charm. I agree with previous reviewers that the paper tray is not the most visually appealing but changing out paper is fairly easy. I print letter and legal size docs throughout the day and changing paper is not a problem. I work in a small oilfield office that is part of a large corporation. We don't have wifi available so setting up printer was a breeze. I use the print, copy, and fax features and they all work very well. I print anywhere from 20 to 50 pages a day and this printer works great for this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lack of user documentation/manuals The product quality is consistent with the price: good. The user documentation on the install disk or downloadable is inadequate and poor. I need a user manual so I can understand especially the control panel and how to set it up. The operation of the control panel is otherwise confusing, not quite as intuitive as you might have hoped. This is my second HP printer purchase with the same complaint. In the future I will avoid purchasing HP products that seem to lack sufficient user documentation. You can do better. Help me out here ... I've been a customer for more than 20 years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just ok I have to agree with the previous reviewers. The paper tray is ugly. You can not keep it closed like on the picture because you have to keep paper on the tray in order to print. The wireless feature will not stay connected. I've pretty much given up on this feature. I simply plug the cord to my computer to avoid this problem. Also, the printer prints slow for the amount of money spent on it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy Set up I just bought the printer then read the reviews. I felt I am very new at setting up anything. I had no issues. The wifi Is as only as good as your wifi is so I hard wired my printer. It does state it only prints black and white. I need to use it for a while to judge the other things but as far as set up was not hard and Wifi is never accurate. With that I would recommend this printer for the money

Rated 1 out of 5 by from this printer is a pain to connect to It is 2017. How is it possible that it is still so complicated to connect to a printer. And how is it there Operating System is so un-intuitive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Printer I have owned mine now for over 9 months with absolutely no problems. I do ot find it loud and do find it's speed excellent for a home office. I print over 500 pages a week with no problems and te toner lasts me far more then is advertised. It is simple to work and was a breeze to setup. I would recommend this to anyone and FYI the drum lasted me 9 months until I needed to replace it. Wieless setup was not a problem either nor networking. Read the istructions or use your head and you will be fine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for. You get what you pay for...don't expect too much. This isa basic laser printer. The only benefit I see is that you don't have to spend lots of $$ on ink/toner. Very, very basic. If you want the bells and whistles, I wouldn't recommend. Setup was a nightmare!!! Took over 5 hrs with the helpdesk....although the Help Desk was very knowledgeable and friendly.
