    TP-Link HS105 reviews

HS105 Wi-Fi Smart Plug Mini is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 58.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product. All advertised features work as described I am using it to control a a very power hungry server situated in my basement, that i only turn on when I need to work on it. Setup was breeze using the kaza app, and it just works after setup. Very happy with the purchase. I already had a power monitoring version og the smart plug, which is big and bulky and takes up 2 power slots. This one is perfect as it is tiny and only uses up one slot. I haven't yet actually measured the standby power consumption of this smart plug itself, to see what kind of saving i am seeing. I plan to do it when my energy monitoring one can be switched off and plugged in front of this to measure it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart plug, Smart buy! This product is just amazing! I initially read reviews about the TP-Link WiFi smart plug (not the mini one), although functionality wise it said very good, but per reviews, when put in a 2 plug board, it covers/overlaps/hides the other plug/socket. Thus the second plug becomes completely useless. I am glad that TP-Link came up with the solution of TP-Link HS105 Wi-Fi Smart Plug Mini. This plug is just awesome. - It DOES NOT cover/overlap the second socket/plug. - Has an App that can be easily downloaded and installed. - The switch can be turned off and on using the App whenever you want. - Can set different modes and timers for the plug to turn it on and off. I have hooked up a cherry blossom tree lamp to it as the lamp doesn't have an on/off switch of its own. So it was a hassle to every time plug it into the wall and unplug it. With TP-Link, my work is easy and convenient. Great buy! People who'll buy it, will love it. And with B&H photovideo, it becomes even more great. Free shipping, no tax and on time delivery!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product, easy to use The product works great and as simple as advertised. I'd highly recommend it for any electrical device you want to schedule or control remotely. Its only shortcoming is the Kasa application used to control it via smartphone. The app's interface is rather clunky and lacks some flexibility. For instance, it has a great feature to schedule devices to turn on or off at sunrise or sunset (whose times it knows for your area)...but it doesn't allow you to set an offset from those times (e.g., 20 minutes after sunset). Software shortcomings can, and I assume will, be fixed over time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is awesome! Get it now! It sounds like an ad, but these plugs simply work very well at what they are supposed to do. Got an Echo Dot as a gift and wanted to control a set of lights and an old (very old) stereo. Anything you plug into these can be controlled via Alexa or through the TP-Link/Kasa app. Setup was easy (follow their instructions step by step and it's very easy). Now I can say 'Alexa turn (whatever name you give to that plug) on/off' and it simply works. Or, you can do the same with the Kasa app and just hit a button to turn on/off. Pic is from Kasa (TP-Link) app.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet & Easy Real easy to set up and pretty cool. Well written instructions in packet and easy to set up Kasa app on phone. You can even label and change the icons for each TP-Link device you have so you know exactly what you are shutting off or turning on. Got the 2 pack, gave one to my girlfriend, she set up the xmas lights on it and was freaking out her daughter, she thought the house was haunted. I set up a living room lamp. My father drove by, "You left your lights on" - nope, I turned them on from work. Now he wants a couple of these. Oh and I also tested to see if I can use the other plug in outlet... you can. These mini's do not obstruct the unused plug. Fits perfect. As far as longevity, no idea, but I believe it does come with a 2 year warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just works! It just works! Setup was a breeze using the Kasa app. I love the small (mini) profile. It allows me to use both outlets. I have been using the TP-Link smart plugs for years now. I have never had any issues. They are very reliable. I set them on away mode to come on at random times when I am away. It makes it look like they are people in the house. I also have them Alexa integrated. I hardly ever use the Kasa app when at home. I always ask Alexa to turn on/off the plugs. These are very convenient. I will buy them again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and works great! I love these! Makes me wish my hole home was wired to the Kasa app. The setup was simple. Using my iphone it took about 45 seconds to setup a plug. I really like that the app tracks electricity and allows you to setup multiple schedules. I have my light come on in the morning at the same time as my alarm, and few other various times that make sense. Since we're not reviewing the app, the hardware is good. Seems great, easy to use, and my kids get the concept.. Push this button, turn on light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy to setup, works very well with Alexa. Bought two of these, one to connect to lights to, and one to connect and turn an old stereo on and off. Setup was a breeze (but you do have to follow instructions step by step and make sure remote control is turned on in Kasa app to allow Alexa to control it), and it worked just like it says. Name one plug 'living room lights' for instance, and then with Echo Dot, just say 'Alexa turn on/off living room lights' and it works. Fantastic, I think I'll be buying more.
