Yongnuo YN360W Overview

The YN360W LED On-Camera Video Light is one of a series of on-camera LED lights from Yongnuo Digital. This compact unit features two output modes. The first mode provides 5500K output and offers two dimming modes (rough and fine). The second mode allows you to control the 40 RGB LEDs, adjusting the balance of the red, blue, and green LEDs.

The YN360W On-Camera Light also features Bluetooth-based mobile-phone remote control (via the downloadable app), which allows you to independently control up to eight fixtures or a group of fixtures. Designed to work with most DSLRs and small camcorders, the YN360W LED On-Camera Light can be powered using an optional Sony NP-F series battery or via an optional AC adapter. Please note that neither a battery or AC adapter is included with this item. A push-button, numerical LED display shows the remaining battery power. An included storage bag contains your lights and accessories during storage and transportation.

Don't leave home without it

One of my favorite lights. Easily hide it. Great for RGB accents. I actually made a set of barndoors using some rigid felt and armature wire that are actually useful since it has a narrow width. One downside is the push button that turns on and off tends to get hit if you lay the light on a flat surface facing up. I solved this by gluing a piece of foam the height of the power switch on the back of the handle. This solves the problem and allows the light to lay flat. I prefer the npf battery powered one to the built in one simply because a light of this form factor is most useful when it doesn't need to be plugged in. With a built-in battery I would only get a few hours of use and then have to have it plugged into continue to use. WIth this one I just swap out an npf battery and I can use the light all day outlet free. And no, it doesn't come with a battery or power cord. It states this in the in the box section, and I won't downgrade them for it due to the price point. I compared the daylight output of this to a similar genaray and this is brighter.

I absolutely love it! I wish the white light was variable similar to their newer model (I own both), but it's still nice to have a battery-powered version as an alternative when i'm on the go. It's easy to control, outputs plenty of light, looks great on film, it's really just an amazing lighting solution!

Yes, that's correct. I own two of these, as brighter 5500 is more important than variable color temperature to me.

Anyone figure out a way to get the bluetooth to work with android? it sees it but won't connect.

A bit of a pain. Mine does the same thing. After it sees it I have to highlight it in the list of devices and choose forget it . Then it sees it again and will connect. Keep trying.
