Connect on the go with the Huawei Mate 9 MHA-L29 64GB Smartphone in Space Gray. This device combines powerful handheld performance with an advanced camera array. The Mate 9's display features a 5.9" FHD 1920 x 1080 display with 2.5D curved edges for viewing all your HD content in rich colors and crisp detail. Beneath the Mate 9's hood is the Hisilicon Kirin 960 chipset, which features a big.LITTLE configuration. This setup utilizes two separate quad-core Cortex processors, one at 2.4 GHz and one at 1.8 GHz working independently from each other to better manage performance and battery life. Supporting this configuration are 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage, with a microSD card reader (which doubles as a second SIM card slot) that will allow you to expand your base memory up to 256GB.

The Mate 9's camera setup includes two rear-facing Leica shooters: a 20MP monochrome sensor and a 12MP color sensor. An 8MP selfie camera is also on board. Bluetooth 4.2 can be used for pairing with other Bluetooth-enabled devices. 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi is also integrated for high-speed Internet connectivity. NFC allows you to instantly connect to other NFC-enabled devices for content sharing, simply by tapping the two devices together. A-GPS with GLONASS is also available for using Google Location and Maps services. Additionally, the Huawei Mate 9 features a 4000mAh battery which can be quickly recharged with the reversible USB Type-C connector.

Leica Dual Camera
The back of the Mate 9 features a pair of Leica cameras. The f/2.2 20MP monochrome and 12MP RGB color cameras shoot simultaneously, and their images are combined for bright colors without sacrificing detail. The Hybrid Zoom function lets you zoom in 2x while retaining sharpness. Dual-camera pixel-binning technology provides brighter images in low light, and optical image stabilization reduces shake and vibration. The dual cameras also enable bokeh and refocusing. 4K recording with h.265 compression lets you take high-resolution video. Dual-LED, dual-tone flash improves lighting, and three types of auto-focus (phase detection, laser, and contrast detection) reduce unwanted blur.

At the front of the device, an 8MP f/1.9 camera with autofocus takes self-portraits and shoots FHD 1080p video. It can take a shot with a touch of the fingerprint reader or when it senses a smile.
Alexa
Turn your Mate 9 into a personal assistant with the Amazon Alexa app. The app lets you manage your smart home, ask questions, shop with Amazon and other connected establishments and retailers, hear the news, and work out. Just open the app and press the mic button to launch Alexa.
GSM / 4G LTE Wireless Connectivity
This phone is designed to work on select GSM networks and is 4G LTE capable. LTE is an advanced cellular network data protocol capable of data speeds so fast that they compete with wired broadband Internet providers. With an LTE connection, this phone should have no problem streaming HD video, downloading apps, uploading photos, or anything else that requires a high-speed data connection. The phone is also backwards compatible with 3G and 2G data for instances when you can't get LTE. In addition to cellular wireless, this phone also features Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Note: Not compatible with all cellular networks. Please make sure your provider uses a frequency or band that this phone supports. You can check which bands this phone works with in the Specifications.
North American Variant / US Compatible LTE
The MHA-L29 is a US variant of the Mate 9. The MHA-L29's LTE radio is tuned to frequencies that are most often used in the United States and North America. It can also be used in other parts of the world; however, LTE access may be limited or unsupported, depending on the network. To ensure this phone will work with your carrier please check to make sure the frequencies your carrier uses are supported by this phone. Battery
The 4000mAh battery features 4.5V input and accepts up to 5A of current, enabling it to gain up to a day's use with 20 minutes of charging. Power is controlled for voltage, current, and temperature for safety.
Fingerprint Reader
The Mate 9's fingerprint reader uses 3D fingerprint recognition and can be used to unlock an encrypted file safe. Two fingerprints can be set up for separate privacy spaces.
Audio Recording
Video recording utilizes directional audio capture to reduce noise by only capturing audio from the direction the lens is pointing. Each of the four microphones are equipped with noise cancellation technology.
Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS)
Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) allows you to lower your mobile costs when traveling while staying connected. Once your SIM cards are installed, you will be able to receive phone calls and text messages from either without needing to manually choose which one is active. When you want to make a call or send an SMS message, you can select the correct SIM card. When one SIM card is being used for a phone call, the other will not be active until you hang up. Operator charges may apply.
Android 7.0 Nougat
The Android operating system integrates heavily with Google's services. Using the card-based Google Now, Android quickly surfaces information for you whenever you need it, powered by the same Knowledge Engine that runs Google's web search. It's a personalized and customizable OS, allowing you to add your favorite apps or widgets to your homescreen. You can even download new themes using the Google Play Store, which offers access to more than one million apps, games, books, music, movies, and more. Android 7.0 Nougat adds major productivity capabilities to the operating system in the form of a multi-window view, which allows for two apps to be placed onscreen at a time. An improved notification system allows you to interact with texts and emails right from your notification pane - without needing to open the app. Other features include file-based encryption, a Data Saver mode, the ability to scale text and icons to better suit your phone's screen, and more

Can it be used in Israel and what is the cost of insurance/warranty in Israel?

On the home screen it will say Huawei.us which means that it was designed to operate in the U.S. with it's particular bandwidth, you can go onto the Huawei U.S. website and check the bands and see if any match your country, but I strongly suggest you do this because it can be a huge issue since it's a great phone but if you don't have the proper bands it makes the purchase redundant. Hope this helps and yes the phone is worth the little investigating

Specs do show CDMA 3G CDMA2000 which is a Sprint 3G, it also shows 2G at CDMA: 800 MHz not sure about compatibility with 2G on Sprint network.
