Dedicated to the Sony Alpha a7 II, a7R II, and a7S II, the BA7R2-L Set L-Plate from Really Right Stuff is an Arca-type compatible plate that facilitates easier, more stable switching between horizontal and vertical shooting orientations when working atop a tripod. The L-shape of the plate also benefits shooting in vertical orientation with panorama nodal slides, for maintaining a consistent nodal point, and shooting in horizontal orientation with side-mount gimbal heads. It's design also moves the battery door to the plate, ensuring easy access to the battery at all times. A gasket seals the battery compartment opening for protection.
This plate set features a modular two-piece design that includes both the dedicated base plate and an L-component, which combine to form a dedicated L-plate. This versatile configuration offers the same support as a one-piece L-plate, with the added ability to remove the L-component for a slimmer overall profile when needed. The custom-fit design also maintains full access to the battery door, and built-in tool storage makes it easy to remove or attach your plate when needed. Additionally, the CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum construction is finished with a Type II black anodizing, a 1/4"-20 threaded mounting socket is featured on the base, and laser-engraved center marks are placed on both axes for easy alignment.
