The 72" Umbrella Diffusion Cover from Photoflex is a softlight accessory that turns a reflective, bounce-type 72" Photoflex or similar umbrella into a light source comparable to a softbox. Useful for portrait, fashion or beauty work, the one-stop diffuser slips easily over the open side of the umbrella. It has an opening for the flash head and works on white or silver umbrellas, but for best results and higher output we recommend using silver.

No it will not work, it is still loose on the 72, unless you pin tuck it in several places, then it may work.
