Yongnuo YN760 overview

  • 1Description

The YN760 Pro LED Video Light from Yongnuo has a user-friendly monolight form factor that is light-stand-mountable via its 180-degree tiltable receiver or can be handheld with the purchase of an optional handle. While it consumes just 80W of current, it outputs many times that in tungsten equivalency. The daylight-balanced fixture has a 5500K color temperature with a high CRI of 95 for accurate color rendering while dimming is adjustable from 1-100% in Fine Mode and 10-100% in Coarse Mode. You can make light intensity changes locally on the unit but the YN760 has a built-in wireless receiver and comes with a wireless remote that can control dimming and on/off functions at distances up to 49'. The light has a receptacle that accepts the included white translucent umbrella for a softer quality of light. The AC/DC YN760 can run on AC power with separate purchase of an adapter but it can also be powered by 2 or 4 NP-F750 batteries for on-location shooting without access to mains current. A carrying case is also included.

    Yongnuo YN760 reviews

YN760 Pro LED Video Light is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy again--great portable solution. Frustrated at first--couldn't find out much about this product. I thought it came with a power cord to use on an outlet but apparently it doesn't. I didn't think it worked but you have to make sure you screw the battery cable into the grooves in the right place on the connectors. I watched a Youtube in a foreign language and finally figured it out. Also, you will need to buy batteries--I bought 4 of the Watson batteries for the two lights I bought and they work great. So, on the light is a dial that controls the amount of light--bright or dim----I drove home to the farm at night and decided to test them in the dark. Holy Cow! These babies can throw out a lot of light! I mean-- a LOT! This will be great for some of the shows that I shoot. The lights are small and lightweight but very powerful! I bought one and then bought another. Since these lights are battery powered, I now have a portable light solution that is super powerful, lightweight and real easy to use!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What you want to know: What you want to know: Is it bright? Yes: It's on par with my Aperture 120d Mark II. I can't tell you if it's the exact same brightness but I use them together and they seem pretty close is it loud? Loud .. no. Noisy .. yes. If you need DEAD SILENCE then this isn't the light for you. But if you have a Lav Mic or Shotgun mic and know anything about sound you'll be fine. I use this light on location shoots for corporate videos that are shot in all kinds of various places and it's never been a problem AT ALL So to sum things up; if you need 100% perfection then this light isn't for you. If you have actors that are going to whisper their dialog then you might be rolling the dice a little. Or .. If you can work around a little bit of fan noise (not a TON of noise, just a little) then you should be fine. It's hard to beat what you get for the price. PS - Buy a plug for it. I have never used it on batteries so I don't know how it performs when used that way.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Strong light This light is strong. Liked the dimming choice by being subtle or strong changing. Light and easy to carry. I will definetly stick to the power operated option than the battery one but is good to know the option is there. The umbrella is smallish and looks on the cheap side.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good light Good light but not strong enough for my needs. I returned it to B&H without a hassle.
