    ZyXEL WRE6606 reviews

    WRE6606 AC1300 Dual-Band MU-MIMO Wireless Range Extender is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent multifunctional and up-to-date unit Got three of these to expand the coverage in the house. Initial plan was to repeat the router's signal, but it worked out better to use one as the AP (access point) and disable the outdated router wifi, offering latest benefits of the latest AC protocol. The other two units are still in repeater mode. All works like a charm. Only one complaint is that the instructions manual is not as detailed and setup menus are not all that well translated. The navigation and setup process is well designed nevertheless. Even the automatic WPS setup worked like a charm, until I reconfigured everything. Quick tip: use Port Authority app on your phone to quickly determine IP address of each repeater for login portal.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid this product at all costs! B&H was great! Fast & friendly. The product, however, is a totally different story! I have a masters in electrical engineering, messed with it two days & gave up. What a waste of time & money. Only got the repeater to work & every few days I would get a no internet connection on all my devices yet they displayed a strong wireless connection. Reboot the repeater & it would work for a few hours then loose connectivity again. And configuration via Ethernet cable via a local web page???!!!??? In 2017???!!!??? Can get a name brand repeater that works out of the box for same money. Avoid at all costs!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extended Signal Quality Needed stronger signal strength on and under my back portch. It did the trick. On the same level with my ATT/Direct TV router but was weeker at that rear area going through kitchen wall and windows. No real problem to set it up just plugged ethernet into my 2010 macbook pro and setup to existing network was easy. Dispite what other reviews said. Did did not find any use for the app however. Just did manual connection to divieces. Got it for 19.99 as it was on special deal of the day on BH. I have always had great experience shopping with them.

Also if your wifi is on but the actual internet connection is not workin don't blame the repeaters and reset the router. Leave the repeaters on while you reboot your router. Also you can update the MAC list to deny the repeaters picking up signal of each other if you want to maximize the network efficiency.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would buy this extender again Works great, got the dead spots in house and back deck covered with strong signal. Set up could be very easy if quick start was rewritten a couple fonts bigger and some where in it, the 3 use-option switch symbols were identified. Downloading (cheap company) made setting up much easier.
