question

What motherboard can I use for this?
Asked by: Alfredo M.
Any motherboard with that is LGA 1151. However, if you buy an LGA 1151 motherboard that is only labeled for use with 6th gen CPUs, then it will need a Bios update before you can use it with this Pentium, which is 7th gen. That means if you don't have a 6th gen CPU to update it with (most CPUs require a CPU in the socket for Bios update, although some don't) then you are better off going with an lga 1151 motherboard that specifically says it is for use with 7th gen.Again, both will work, but if you get one that only has a Bios update up to 6th gen you will have to update it and that is a pain unless you are tech savvy.
