    ASUS Code reviews

Republic of Gamers Maximus IX Code Z270 LGA 1151 ATX Motherboard is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product, highly recommended for onboard wireless No issues with Aura and it runs XMP on my G.Skill RipJaws 3200mhz perfectly. Super easy to overclock if you're into that. The wireless AC is fast and bluetooth is working great. That's the only reason I went with this one over the Hero. I'm using this with the 7700K and a Noctua DH14 and it clears the RAM. Temps are low 30s in my Fractal Design Define C. The M.2 slot is super fast, just takes 1 screw to remove the cover of the M.2 slot. You need to use this riser for the M.2 mounting screw, but it's easy enough. No complaints right now on this solid board.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Asus knocks it out of the park This is an outstanding motherboard. Well built, many bells and whistles, and the thing is just a beauty. Speaking of aesthetics, maybe carrying over the lighting from the Formula would have been reasonable considering the price of this board, but that is nitpicking. Runs stable and is quite easy to overclock. M.2 does limit you to 4 sata slots if you install 2. So be aware if you need a massive amount of internal storage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Motherboard From the aesthetics to the functionality this Motherboard is perfect. The onboard audio is awesome really better then even a SoundBlaster Z. The LAN is Intel so it starts working soon as you install windows, no having to load drivers first. Which is a godsend if you don't have a DVD drive in your build. The RGB lighting is fantastic. If you can afford it this is the Z270 board to get

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great board but for onboard sound This board is very powerful, so far I love everything about it except for the onboard sound which was quite bad - many pops and static even after updating drivers. For a board of this caliber I expected better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ROG Maximus IX Code Z270 LGA 1151 ATX Great motherboard, stable and fast. I wish it had more internal SATA connectors, I have 6 disks and a BD-drive. And also more internal USB port.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not impressed... Purchased this motherboard to replace my ASUS ROG Maximus VI Formula z87, however it is not that much of an upgrade. The only thing I wanted to do was to install two PCIe NVMe storage drives and raid 0 them together as a boot drive. However, it is not supported, in fact for a higher end board like this it has pretty low end compatible storage components for it. There are a lot of highly reviewed, reputable, storage that is available but i am only able to use ADATA and devices that are already what I consider out of date. I.E. Samsung EVO give me a break... I'm pretty close to returning this item for something that does support what I'm looking for. ASUS needs to get in the game and start adding more vendors/item to their compatibility list. They support Corsair 64gb Platinum Dominator DDR4 at a premium of $720 but not two Intel 750 Series PCIe NVMe storage devices, I was a huge fan of ASUS but this has really made me doubt my loyalty to this brand. Not to mention, their technical support staff was beyond terrible, took me 5 chat sessions in a one week period and a call to the supervisor to finally get a straight answer to my question. Beyond ridiculous!
