Combining a four-channel HD video switcher and a 6-channel audio mixer, the Datavideo SE-650 is an all-in-one solution for live video production. Video and embedded audio can be imported using two HD-SDI and two HDMI inputs; audio can also be brought in through analog inputs. Multiple video outputs enable you to send video to multiple locations. The output section is configurable, so you can choose which output is your multiview, and which are your program outputs. Having multiple program outputs means that you can have one output recorded separately, and one output sent to a streaming server for live broadcast online.

Am I reading correctly that the SE-650 is able to embed auxiliary audio input on the HDMI output, but not on the SDI output?
We're not quite clear as to where you were reading that, but according to the manufacturer, audio may be embedded on all digital outputs.

I would like to send a hdmi signal from my desktop computer to one of the SDI inputs. What would I use to do this? I tried a a SDI to HDMI converter with Power Supply Adapter, Audio Embedder that support HDMI 1.3, 3G/HD-SDI . It would not detect the computer HDMI signal. HELP!

How well the signal will be recognized will depend on the computer itself, but that being said you should be able to connect a computer to this switcher through HDMI. It is possible.

How loud is the SE-650 in db? I want to use it in conjunction with a podcasting setup, where every noise is a no-no. Some units have load fan noise.
The manufacturer was unable to provide an accurate db level for this product. Their recommendation was, if considering another product is an options, to possibly look into the SE-500MU - https://bhpho.to/3dpW5GG which they regard to be "whisper quiet"

Does the mixer have an option to turn on/off HDCP?
We're afraid not. This switcher does not offer HDCP controls, you will not be able to connect HDCP compatible products to it. Instead you could look at the Roland V-1HD Portable 4 x HDMI Input Switcher, which allows for HDCP compliance to be enabled.
