Good Cable Modem But Don't Put it Behind the TV

Everything works great, but to be honest I can't tell if it's any faster. I got this cable modem because the coverage ran out on my router, so I figured I may as well upgrade both. The connection was fairly easy, but I had to contact Xfinity. The instructions said I could do it online, but that turned out to not be the case. I was pleasantly surprised that the first person I talked at Xfinity knew what to do. The whole process took about an hour but would have been less had I just called Xfinity right away. I did have an issue with the TV picture after everything was up and running. I had the previous cable modem behind the TV, and it didn't affect the picture, however, I had to move this modem a few feet away. It sits on the floor about three feet below the TV and there's no interference.

Is this modem the CM1000 or CM1000 v2? I thought it's v2 but Mine version number is 6.01.02. It's CM1000, not the v2 as some people mentioned in their reviews.
It's possible our inventory is mixed with different revisions of the same product. Sorry for the inconvenience. Manufacturers do not update the product model number's when new revisions come out and we are not able to tell which version it is. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Sorry, I'm not sure. I think it does but I use Bitdefender as my firewall and "defense". I can tell you it does a great job as a modem though

I don't know but I would be careful. It does not work with Sudden Link. I am going to have to return the replacement I was sent because Netgear support said the first one must have been faulty. It tries to connect but fails a final step on Sudden Link
