Set Screw Stripped on first use

The hex set screw stripped on the first use, and it took several hours to get it undone (I didn't have tools on site). I'm going to order the Manfrotto 158 instead (I may replace this set screw with a slotted set screw). I know that slotted screws tend to strip more easily, but this item didn't last an hour. Very inconvenient to say the least.

Like the title says, I use this adapter to mount my articulating arms to light stands. I may get around to replacing the set screw with another knob screw.

Asked by: xavier n.
The Impact Female Converter Socket B&H # IMSRP100 converts a 5/8 stud to an 11/16 stud. The Impact Conversion Socket 5/8 Female to 5/8 Female just joins to male 5/8 studs.

Is 11/16 a Junior size?

Is 11/16 a Junior size?
Asked by: NICHOLAS
This is not Junior. Both receiving female ends are 11/18 which is ever so slightly larger (1/16th) than 5/8 so it will accept the 5/8 pins on either side.
