Auray WMC-500 Overview

The WMC-500 Wide-Mouth EVA Case from Auray is a rugged case designed to protect microphones, electronic devices, and accessories from impact, dust, and moisture. It can be used on the go by videographers, musicians, or podcasters and provides quick access to your equipment via a wide-mouth zippered opening.

The case is made of ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA), and its length is long enough to accommodate a long-handled interview microphone, GoPro, point-and-shoot camera, mic flag, mic clip, or shockmount. Featuring a generous layer of foam padding for protection, the case is made with an interior faux-fur lining to help prevent scratches to the finish of a microphone, and an additional interior storage pouch keeps accessories secure and organized.

Fits Handheld Mics
At 11.75" long, the WMC-500 can accommodate long-handled interview microphones and is roomy enough to hold a mic flag or other accessories.
Ideal for Microphone Transport
Getting your microphone to a gig without bumps or scratches is not always as easy as it sounds. The roomy storage compartment cushions your microphone with layers of protection. You can also put the WMC-500 in a larger transport case that houses your lights or stands without damaging your microphone.
Protects Valuable Electronics
Your other electronic devices like a GoPro, point-and-shoot camera, or shotgun microphone need protection too. The case has enough room to fit a wide variety of your valuable electronic devices.
Room for Accessories
The case can fit cables, mic clips, a shockmount, an audio recorder, memory cards, mic flags, or other accessories that are critical to videographers, musicians, or podcasters on the go.

The weather-resistant EVA shell protects your microphone and other devices from dust and moisture.
Pick 'n' Pluck Foam
Two generous layers of pick 'n' pluck foam provide protection from impact and allow you to customize the padding to fit your microphone or other devices. The Pick 'n' Pluck area is 9.5 x 3.5 x 2".
Faux Fur
The interior faux-fur lining prevents the microphone and other devices from getting scratched.
Extra Storage
The interior pouch with a touch-fastener closure adds an extra storage area in the mic case and keeps smaller accessories secure and organized.

Affordable lightweight case

I was on the hunt for an affordable case for my larger microphones. By larger, I mean bigger than an SM58. My test mic is an sE 2300. This case meets all of my check points. It's nothing fancy, but for my purposes it does the job. I will be purchasing more of these cases.

I bought this to hold a Rode microphone with mini tripod. It was too much work to remove all the foam cubes so I just put the equipment in the case without it and it works fine. It's all the protection I need.

No, the Auray WMC-500 is too small for the Saramonic UwMic9 2-person system. A better option for a customizable foam-lined case is the Pelican 1200 Case with Foam - Black (B&H # PE1200FB) or for a case with pre-cut foam, the SKB iSeries Waterproof Case for Sony UWP-D Two-Channel Wireless Bodypack Mic System (B&H # SK3I09074BH3) will also work for the UwMic9. For a case without foam, you can use the xK-Tek KGBM1 Medium Gizmo Bag with Transparent Bottom (B&H # KTKGBM1).

Will the WMC-500 case fit the Zoom H6 with stereo XY mic attached (measures ~ 8"L x 3"w x 1.75"h? I'm concerned about the internal depth/height since another answer says it is only 2" internally - not sure if that includes foam?

Yes, the Auray WMC-500 Wide-Mouth EVA Case should be capable of housing the Zoom H6 Handy Recorder with Single Mic Capsule. The total dimensions of the H6 with X/Y Capsule attached are 3.1 x 1.9 x 8.4 inches, while the dimensions of the WMC-500 offer 5.75 x 2.75 x 11.75 inches of space. The foam within the case is "pick 'n' pluck", meaning it can be removed to fit the specific form factor of the recorder in a custom fashion.
