I've mounted this on an OM-D-E-M1 and EM-2. Both are listed as being compatible, but with a Canon 70-300 EF f4-5/6 IS USM which is also supposed to be compatible I just get a black viewfinder. What am I doing wrong?
Asked by: Joseph
The camera would need to be in manual exposure mode for the best results.

The Vello compatibility chart does not list the Canon EF 100-400 f4.5-5.6L IS USM Lens as being compatible. If the adapter is used in combination with an Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III body will the auto focus, auto exposure, and image stabilization features of the lens be maintained?
Asked by: Mark
Hey, I tested this out for you. It's not recommended to use this combination. The performance is very unstable. It will work at times, but it can also shut off and stop working at any time. When it does work you do get Auto Focus, Auto Exposure and Image Stabilization, however the auto focus is pretty bad and it can automatically stop working at any given point. So in short, it is not compatible as they say.

question

With reference to the 35mm FF format, what will be the field of view value outcome if the Canon EF 50mm lens is used?
Asked by: Sharfi A.
This adapter does not have focal reducing optics therefore the field of view is effected only by the crop factor of a full frame lens mounted on a MFT camera. The crop factor is 2x, so an EF 50mm lens would have the field of view that would be equivalent to a 100mm lens mounted on full frame camera.
