MSI Z270 overview

  • 1Description

The Z270 Mpower Gaming Titanium LGA1151 ATX Motherboard from MSI is an essential component for a computer to fully utilize the performance from your Intel 6th- or 7th-generation processor and up to three dedicated graphics cards. This Mpower Gaming Titanium motherboard sports an Intel Z270 chipset and an Intel LGA1151 socket to support Intel's Core i3, i5, i7, Pentium, or Celeron processor. For memory support, it comes with four DDR4 DIMM slots that can operate at overclock speeds of up to 3800 MHz. With an Intel Z270 chipset, it offers three M.2 slots and one U.2 connector to support more ultra-fast SSDs than an Intel Z170 motherboard. There are also six SATA III connectors so the motherboard can access your typical storage and optical drives. Additionally, this motherboard is built with an ATX form factor for mid- to full-tower builds.

MSI has equipped the Z270 Mpower Gaming Titanium motherboard with three PCIe 3.0 x16 slots and support for 3-Way AMD CrossFire and 2-Way NVIDIA SLI, letting you build a high-performance gaming rig. For everyday builds, the motherboard is capable of using the onboard graphics chipset from the processor to output detail visuals through the built-in HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. To complete the multimedia experience, it sports an internal dual Realtek ALC1200 audio codec chipset.

Networking and online gaming can be accomplished by a single Gigabit Ethernet port. Other notable ports include two USB 3.0 and three USB 2.0 ports as well as two USB 3.1 ports that transmit data at a rate of 10 Gb/s. Aside from connections, three PCIe 3.0 x1 slots and Internal USB headers are available for adding additional capabilities for your desktop computer.
