Capture stabilized video with your HERO4 with the GoPro Karma Grip & HERO4 Harness Kit from B&H. The Karma Grip consists of the 3-axis motorized gimbal found in the Karma drone and a handgrip. The HERO4 Harness allows you to install the HERO4 Black or Silver camera on the gimbal. The gimbal component of the Karma Grip can also be removed and secured to the Karma drone — along with the HERO4 harness.

  • GoPro Karma Grip

Use your HERO camera to capture smooth, sweeping footage with the GoPro Karma Grip. Combining the 3-axis motorized gimbal stabilizer found in the Karma drone with a handgrip, the Karma Grip actively isolates the HERO camera from vibrations that occur while walking, running, or even standing still. Accessory compatibility means that you can also stabilize vehicle or body-mounted shots as well. Simply clip your camera in, and you're ready to roll. Simple camera controls are available on the handle itself. The included harness is compatible with the HERO5 Black and HERO6 Black cameras, while separately available harnesses offer support for the HERO5 Session as well as the HERO4 Black and Silver cameras. Since the Karma Grip is a modular design, the gimbal can be removed for mounting on other Karma products like the Karma Drone.

    Versatile Mounting Options
Compatible with most GoPro mounts, the Karma Grip can capture the same perspectives the HERO cameras are famous for, but now with added stabilization.
    Karma Drone Compatible
If you want to take to the skies, the stabilizer section detaches from the grip and can be attached to the Karma Drone.
    Built-In Camera Control
Simple built-in camera controls let you power on and off, change modes, start and stop recording, or add HiLight Tags on the fly.
    Easy Charging and Footage Offload
You can charge your GoPro and Karma Grip at the same time while offloading your footage, all without unmounting your camera.
    Battery Life
Karma Grip's built-in battery powers both the grip and your GoPro for up to one hour and 45 minutes on a full charge.
    Optimized for HERO6, HERO5, and HERO4
With the HERO6 Black, HERO5 Black, HERO5 Session, HERO4 Black, and HERO4 Silver, within their respective harnesses, the Karma enables full camera control, charging, and content offload.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent and Worth the Buy What I typically want to find out from reviews is Does the product function as advertised with no serious caveats? I'm happy to say, that is case with the Karma Grip. It's touted as a simple-to-use, highly functional GoPro stabilizer and it does not disappoint. This is the kind of technology that wowed me as a kids, watching behind the scenes videos of my favorite movies. To hold that capability in my hand and make it work for my own videos only solidified my conviction that there's some sort of wizardry at work - it's a joy to use and it does a fantastic job of keep the camera steady and the motion fluid. That said, there is one proviso as far as the overall design of the product is concerned. And, that is the battery situation. The Karma Grip has an internal battery that is inaccessible and, aside from some serious DIYing, irreplaceable. The battery powers the stabilizer (duh), but it also powers the camera while it's on. With a battery life of up to 3 hours (more if you're shooting time lapse to create cool hyperlapse videos), it drastically extends the battery life of your camera. However the issue presents itself when you're halfway through a full day of shooting, and you have a fully charged camera (which has replaceable batteries, meaning you can carry as many extras with you as your heart desires) sitting in the frame of a fully dead stabilizer. I suppose you could also carry some of those portable battery boosters used for giving your cell phone a jump, but even then, you'd have to tether it with a cable. Eventually, this internal, inaccessible battery will fail leaving you with a floppy gimbal-stick that can't do anything other than...well nothing really. Battery design quirk aside, I love this thing. It does what it says and it does it well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Love Love Smooth as butter. I love this thing, I need to find more excuses to use it. The harness was easy to remove and place the Hero 4 Harness on, and it fits and works perfectly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, But Not Great I was initially impressed by my GoPro Karma Grip. It was easy to use right out of the box and based on my initial impressions, it stabilized my footage pretty well. Its build quality is solid and its battery life is relatively good. After extensive use, however, I noticed a few things that would have made me think twice about purchasing this stabilizer had I known about those things beforehand. The first thing is it doesn't stabilize the image as well as I was hoping it would while walking. You can still see an up-and-down motion when walking, and the up-and-down motion becomes really noticeable when walking close to perpendicular lines (i.e. a handrail). The second thing is it sometimes tilts the horizon. I've had a bunch of my footage ruined because of a crooked horizon. Sure I could fix it in post, but that's one more thing that I'd rather not deal with. The third thing is twofold - (1) my Karma Grip has a tendency to pan to the side and (2) there's no way to prevent that since the grip doesn't have a pan lock (it only has a tilt lock). I've had a bunch of my footage ruined because my camera wasn't facing directly in from of me as I had intended. After waiting for an effective and easy-to-use GoPro stabilizer since the release of the original GoPro Hero HD (seven years ago) and also being a stickler for OEM products, I jumped on buying the GoPro Karma Grip without researching it as sufficiently as I normally do when I purchase electronics. If I could redo this purchase, I'd likely either wait for a better GoPro stabilizer or go with a stabilizer from another brand.
