Tilta GR-T02 Overview

  • 1Description

The Tilta Gravity G1 Handheld Motorized Gimbal Stabilizer is a three-axis stabilizing solution for DSLR and mirrorless cameras up to eight pounds. Featuring a wood-grained pistol-grip handle, the Gravity G1 is both comfortable to hold and sleek. Rosettes on either side of the grip can be built out to securely hold accessories or handles. Several accessories come included to ensure that your camera sits stably inside the G1. Cameras that have accessory shoes on top can take advantage of the included shoe bracket, and longer lenses can be supported with the screw-in lens support. Each axis can be adjusted to balance the camera. The pan and tilt axes can be rotated a full 360°, and the roll axis can compensate for up to 120° of horizon movement. Use the free Tilta Assistant app to fine-tune each motor's calibration. The gimbal itself is powered using four 18650 batteries, which must be purchased separately. A four-battery charger is included.

    Tilta GR-T02 Reviews

Gravity G1 Handheld Motorized Gimbal Stabilizer is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Couldn't turn it on This is just my experience, I hope yours is different. Purchased this gimbal to load up a Canon 1DX II with 11-24mm lens. Stayed under the payload, and couldn't get it to balance. Was told by tech support to flip the roll axis. Tried that, and it balanced barely after hours of trying. Went to load the recommended IKAN 18650 batteries listed under recommended accessories and THEY DIDN'T FIT. Needed for an immediate job, had to return it. If you do purchase this, make sure you contact Tilta first for the exact batteries to use. Ironically the IKAN batteries simply do not fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great build quality and easy to adjust I have owned several of these and this is by far the best one so far. Build quality is superb and it's rated to handle just about any DSLR/lens combo. What I really appreciate is the user friendly APP for adjusting the PID settings. I pretty much bricked my last stabilizer using the BaseCam GUI. My only issue is that I'm finding it difficult to get the tilt response where I want it, but I think that may be because my A7s is slightly under weight for the rating of this gimbal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best with some obstacles I had the G1 for few months now. It's not meant for small cameras synchronize Sony A7s ii( You need the riser Plate). It's havier then it looks. You need the grip handle which does not charge the camera just the record and stop.

    question

I doubt about this Tilta G1 gimbal or the came-tv optimus anyone experience with both?
    Asked by: Koen S.
The Tilta G1 is not out yet so there is no experience to be had. We can take from the other ikan gimbal reviews that it will be a good product. The CAME-TV Optimus is out and the B&H customer reviews suggest that ikan may edge it out.

    question

Will this work well with c200 non B version?
    Asked by: Ben
It really wont matter what type of lens you put on this unit is says it could support 8 pounds but I would never want to go to the max weight limit so if you can actually put the equipment on the scale keep it around 6 pounds and youll be fine

    question

    Does this come with batteries?
    Asked by: Wini Y.
Hello,Now that we have our first production units in, I con confirm: this kit does not come with batteries. There are 4 slots in the case for 4x 18650 batteries, and a battery charger is included, but the batteries themselves must be purchased separately.
