Wooden Camera 239600 Overview

The D-Box for Blackmagic Design URSA Mini/Mini Pro from Wooden Camera is a Gold Mount battery plate that passes power to your camera, has multiple power outputs, and features camera start/stop capability via the 3-pin Fischer connectors. It features three D-tap ports, two 2-pin LEMO, two 3-pin Fischer connectors, a USB power port, as well as a 4-pin mini XLR power input (full-sized XLR to mini XLR adapter cable included). The D-Box incorporates a LANC connector that attaches to your URSA Mini/Mini Pro and enables start/stop functionality. All outputs are always on.

Designed to fit between your battery and the camera, it connects to the URSA Mini/Mini Pro's Molex power connection, providing a Gold Mount for you to power your camera. The D-Box's DC 4-pin Mini XLR input enables you to connect a power supply or external battery, thus maintaining power to both the camera and its accessories during a battery swap.

The D-Box features a replaceable 7.5A fast-acting mini blade fuse. To replace the fuse, you must loosen both threaded caps and remove the fuse assembly.
The D-Box incorporates one fused D-tap power outlet; the battery plate mounted on the D-Box features two D-tap power outlets that are not fuse protected.
When supplying power to the D-Box via the 4-pin Mini XLR DC input, by either AC power supply or external battery, power is drawn through that input port and not from a battery attached to the plate. This allows you to keep a battery attached to your camera without draining it.

Complete Malfunction - Unprofessional Company Policy

I bought this piece to be part of a safer way to power my camera and many accessories on my 12k Ursa. In the middle of a $10k+ production my camera (A-Cam) went down completely after a simple battery change. Multiple resets and batteries were tested. It was a nightmare. It just stopped working... The day was only saved by taking off this product and putting a cheaper gold mount plate on the URSA. Which powered everything great, but the AC and I had to becareful to power everything in the correct sequence. --Under intense pressure. I will probably lose the client for the lost time and talent from the failure of the shoot due to this issue. This was a $20k+/year client with and we were in retainer dialogs. Do not buy this product. Or any from this company. Spend the money on a better built plate from a competitor and ensure you are running safe (grounded) power to your accessories and cameras motherboard. Wooden Camera WILL not allow you to return the equipment, they are very rigid on policy.

It's a little odd to install - it feels as if you're doing way too much dissembling and there's no real instructions, but the product is rock solid and works perfectly. I love the positioning of all ports, and multiple D tap points make everything so easy. All accessories get to stay on when swapping batteries. Batteries fit snug and is built rock solid like everything from WoodenCamera
