With the wide 50mm objective lens, you scope will gather most light in the most challenging lighting conditions and perform well in twilight. To enable with the laser-sharp shot placements, the scope features the illumined 2nd focal plane EBR-4 MOA reticle. The reticle features a modified German 4 style with three medium posts and an illuminated crosshair containing a system of MOA ranging and compensation markings. The illumination rheostat is located on the windage and elevation box and offers a graduated control knob with 10 brightness levels. The parallax-free can be adjusted 25 yards to infinity.

5-25x50 Viper PST Gen II Riflescope (EBR-4 MOA Illuminated Reticle, Matte Black) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Literally best bang for the buck! I bought this for my F Class 6.5x284. The price was right and the features were better than any other in its class. I run a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x56 on my F T/R 308 and I must admit the Vortex is just as good and better since I can get 2 of them for 1 NF. Literally everyone that has looked through the glass is impressed and side by side 8/10 prefer the Vortex. If I could return the NF I would. It works great at 1000yrd and after setting the turret stop I actually get 74MOA of adjustment. According to my ballistic calculator I can dial to 1950yrd before I need to use the reticle for holdover. Not likely with this round of course but if you want long range with a magnum caliber this scope might just do it for. FYI, I do have a 20MOA base. In a nutshell, buy it! Too bad they are so hard to find.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great glass for 23 hours After 7 months of waiting my PST gen II arrived Monday evening! I mounted and bore sighted it on my new 28 Nosler. The next day I took it to the range and zeroed it right in at 200 yds picture perfect & then put a few more shots down range. Was feeling great about the rifle glass combo and headed to work. Came out on break to find someone had smashed my window and stolen my new favorite rifle and Scope. I was sick physically and mentally after that. On a positive note I was super impressed and will be getting another when I can save my pennies again. Maybe there won’t be such a wait next time!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenominal Scope and Customer Service! Purchased this scope (Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 SFP) back in May to go on top of my 22-250 for a Prairie Dog trip in South Dakota. I haven't been disappointed yet. My group was shooting P-Dogs regularly at 500+ and even managed to get a few just short of 800 yards! I actually took a Swarovski Z6 2.5-15x56 off this rifle... and replaced it with this scope for the P-Dog trip! The magnification range of the PST was probably the biggest reason that I swapped the scopes out for the trip, as I really wanted to be able to zoom in on those longer shots, and P-Dogs are generally pretty easy to see. The scope performed flawlessly and has exceeded my expectations... which are pretty high. Truth be told, the PST is still sitting on that rifle... and the aforementioned scope has been resting in the safe ever since... That should say something about the performance and quality of this scope!!! I've used and am very familiar with the Gen 1 PST line, and these Gen 2s are an obvious upgrade. I really like the Illumination knob being relocated to the Side Focus knob as it keeps the scope looking much more sleek and less "busy". The Turrets on the Gen 2s are much better as well, larger diameter and shorter, which allows you to see more of the marks on the turrets and they are easier to see. Scope still feels very rugged and durable across the board. The glass was also upgraded slightly, which is nice as well, and its extremely good glass for its price point. Not sure if they changed the coatings, or started with a new chunk of glass, but there seems to be a difference over the Gen1s. All in all, if you're reading this, you're thinking about buying one... stop reading and buy it. I can't imagine how anyone would be disappointed in the scope itself or by the Vortex Customer Service. Shoot straight, and thanks again Vortex... awesome product here!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mile High Club I put the Viper PST gen 2 on my new gen 3 RPR 6.5CM. What a great combo. The zero stop is flawless. Adjust to any elevation and back and its dead on every time. The max elevation is 48 moa. That is just enough to hit 1 mile out or 1760 yards. You can see the hits from all distances. The clarity is really good even to the mile target at full zoom. Spotting stuff out further is also no problem. If i have to go further then a mile i can still use the moa scale on the radical. This scope competes with the Nightforce NSX (i have one of them also) for about $1000 less.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Clarity and Style Bought this scope for a 6.5 bolt action. It has amazing features for the price point. The illumination settings are perfect with off positions between each. The glass is spectacularly clear. It has superb transmission through the entire range of magnification. I really like the RZR zero stop feature. This makes all the right moves when it comes to high end features at a price most people could afford. My only regret is not getting the first focal plane version this time around. I liked this one so much I bought another one for my Sig MCX in the 1-6x24.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Design and features I bought my GEN 2 Viper PST a month ago. I love how clear the optic I'd and I love how clear it stays when I zoom all the way in and you can still the the target clear as a bell. I want to try it out in the rain and see if fogs up. Or see if any of my viper scopes fog up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable I bought this scope a few months ago for my 338 lapua to try it out and It is a great functioning scope for the price. My favorite thing about it is how durable the scope feels and makes me not scared to bang it around through the woods

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable and accurate! I bought this scope in May of 2017 and mounted it on a 6.5 Creedmoor. The accuracy is top of the line, after getting my zero at 100 yards I have never had to move it since. The scope is crystal clear and the turrets are sturdy with tactile and audible clicks. The scope performs very well at long distance, and the illumination is bright enough to use in the middle of the day.
