Extra-Low Dispersion (XD) optical elements are treated with the high-transmission XR full multi-coatings and ArmorTek protective coatings — producing bright, clear, glare-free, and true color images Additionally, the fully multi-coated anti-reflection coatings protect exterior lens surfaces from scratches, dirt, and oil stains. The scope features a 1st focal plane EBR-4 MRAD reticle with three medium posts and an illuminated crosshair containing a system of MRAD ranging and compensation markings. The illumination rheostat is located on the windage and elevation turret and offers a graduated control knob with 10 brightness levels. The parallax-free performance can be adjusted from 20 yards to infinity.

The high-quality aluminum housing is built around a durable single-piece 30mm maintube. One of the highlights of the mechanics is the Precision-Glide Erector System that ensures zooming action remains smooth under the most challenging conditions. For consistency, repeatability, and ease of adjustment, Vortex outfitted this optic with a Precision-Force Spring System. The scope's windage and elevation provide exposed, graduated turrets with red fiber optic position markers on the knobs.
