Using U.S. Government technology, such as a NIPRNet (unclassified) network type, makes this identification system extra secure, and it can even be set up to require both a card and PIN for two-factor authentication. The card slot is an 8-pin ID-1 sliding contact socket that is rated to 100,000 insertions, and there are a variety of advanced features to make your system more secure. This includes a mandatory identification function, physical and logical access capabilities, Public Key Cryptography for Initial Authentication in Kerberos (PKINIT) support, and e-mail signing and encryption using FIPS 140-2 Validated Cryptographic Modules. Additionally, this compact device is easily installed as it features a mini-USB connection and is powered via USB.
